I have a Nextfit and love it. For our second and third backups we also wanted cheaper. Got the Britax Roundabout. It's fine. Much better than the Scenara (tried that too) but nowhere near the Nextfit for comfort.

If they're both used pretty infrequently and you're looking for cheap, I'd look into the Evenflo SureRide. It actually has really good height and weight limits and Amazon had it for just $68 the other day. We just bought one as our spare for DS1 because he needed to use a carseat for a preschool field trip (side note: I was the only one who still has my kid harnessed!) and it's very simple and very lightweight in comparison to the others I listed.
Aside from that I think your best bet is finding a Graco MySize/Size4Me/HeadWise/Fit4Me (they're all the same seat!). On Amazon they sell the Size4Me version and it's currently selling for $117! I would not get the MyRide, it's very bulky from back to front (we had to pull the passenger seat up a bit) and the Size4Me does a better job. The way I tell the difference at a glance is that the more compact Size4Me has 1 cup holder whereas the bulkier MyRide has 2.
ETA: the SureRide is back up to $90-$103 depending on which fabric pattern you choose. With that small of a price difference I'd spend the little extra and go with the Graco.

I like my Britax roundabout. It's heavy but not huge in the car and fairly easy to install. That said, keep the cosco scenera for travel-6lbs vs 13 or more for other seats. Makes getting through the airport much easier.
