Good question! I didn't specify one. Let's see....if you're having a gift/Amazon item sent here try to make sure it is delivered by 12/19. We're still open 12/22 and 12/23 but that gives us time to wrap last minute stuff. If you want to send/paypal cash try to send it by 12/15 so I can plan a shopping trip for the following weekend or buy online and get quick shipping.
placed my order. please update if the list isn't covered and i'll get something else. I really like the coats you picked out
Thank you! I spoke with the social worker for the families late in the day yesterday and he had just received more detailed lists. He should be sending them my way ASAP and then I'll update with the fun toys and stuff.
did you see my edit that the jacket i bought (the male XXL black and red) is still showing up on the wish list? Can you delete? I'm not sure why that happened.
I've received the detailed lists and have started to update the Amazon wish list accordingly. What I'm going to do is try to put 2 gifts per person (unless it's small/inexpensive stuff) up on the list to begin with to have a well rounded list. I will continue to add as time allows, but it takes a lot longer to find the items than I thought. As mentioned before - unless specified below - brand/specific item is not important. I'm trying to find a range of prices.
The jackets I put on the list yesterday have doubled in price (good sale yesterday) so I'll probably go change those. With that in mind if you find a different version or are going to purchase some place else let me know and I'll delete the item from the list.
I'll list everything requested in this post and then come back here and cross out as things are purchased. The items with * next to them have been added to the wish list. And of course neither of these families is expecting everything to be purchased. Whatever we do they are grateful for, the items are just to give us options.

twotrue - May we have an update on where we are at with this?
Absolutely! Maybe it's easiest if I show what has been purchased. Besides what is listed below, two people have sent money via paypal.

twotrue please update the list, and thanks for organizing!
Girl N 7y - winter coat (size 6x-7)* check! Slippers (size 2) - I found some adorable Frozen Elsa/Anna reversible slippers! I hope she loves them.
Note - hello kitty watch on the registry doesn't ship until Jan 2 at the earliest. Might want to let the mom know.
I am a prime member so the gifts should be arriving Tuesday.
Awesome! I'll do an update for the board again on Monday so it reflects any shopping that happens this weekend. In the meantime I'll go pick a different watch so it ships on time.
Just a quick update - a handful of items were purchased today so I just edited the list a bit. I wanted to put some lower price items back on so everyone feels they can participate. I also removed the iPad and replaced it with an Amazon Fire 6. This is for a non-verbal 9 year old so I'd like to leave it on there and if it isn't purchased, and we have enough cash at the end I'll purchase it.
I'll post an update of what has been purchased and what items might round things out nicely on Monday.

How much cooking does the little girl want to do? Amazon has 2 purple sets--one that is less expensive and definitely a beginner set and one a little nicer. No pink. I can't find pink anywhere.
Or does she really want more accessories like spoons, bowls, aprons?

I was about to post an update. My wife actually found and bought a set of purple pans this weekend. Like these:
and I found a cute apron and pot holder set. Someone purchased pink spatulas as well so I think we're pretty good now.
You all must have been doing some shopping this weekend because we had a number of things from the list purchased. :-) Here is complete update. pixy0stix - can you put this in the OP and take out the old list? TIA!

I just sent one little thing, but I'm going to also buy a Christmas tree for the first family. Can I have you pick it up at Home Depot, please PM me your zip code so I can make sure it's the right store?
Also, let's groupthink this. Multi-colored lights or white lights? I do multi-colored lights and love it, but I've never had a fake tree before. They are both 6.5 ft spruces.
FYI - a couple of the items originally on the list (mostly the shoes I think) are no longer available so I'm in the process of trying to update. If you see a couple of pairs of shoes, that's why. I should have it all cleaned up in a bit.

pixy0stix and LoveTrains - Thanks, after I figured out the delivery store, we didn't have the option of white lights anymore, so I think it will be multi-colored lights.

twotrue I don't know if you have a Dollar General store around you, but I just wanted to let you know that if you do, they have several inexpensive Christmas tree options. We got rid of our old tree last Christmas because our cats destroyed it and being as we'll hopefully be moving again in a year, I didn't really want to throw a bunch of money into a tree yet. I found a little 4 ft pre lit tree there for $15. They also had several bigger options if space allows. I got it, some ornaments, lights and garland for less than $50.
