I had an awesome time last night at the GTG. Mags and tiramisu were just as awesome as I thought they would be. Muddled bought be some chocolate covered churros because she loves me. It was a good night!

I turned my alarm off this morning and woke up 10 minutes AFTER I am supposed to wake up ds. Somehow I managed to get us both ready and out the door in 20 minutes. But now I want a nap.
Also, I cannot stand pumpkin pie. The texture just icks me out.
I am so pissed off right now. We usually close early the day before a holiday. Our client wants us to have a phone conference at 2pm. WTF, who does this on the day before a holiday.

Tonight after work, I am going to look at a table and chairs that I found on cl. I told xh that I was going to be late to ds' s practice tonight because I have an appointment and he started grilling me about it. He even said "I know it's none of my business..." and I replied "you're right. It's not." Yet he STILL continued to ask. Obviously he assumes I have a medical appointment. But he never cared when we were married, so why is he so in my shit now?

In order to get an effective date of 1/1/15 and not get fined, our benefits rep wants ALL employees to fill out and return their benefits stuff by December 1st. LOLOLOLOL we have about 15 steps to take before that happens.
I am freaking out. I told them it wasn't going to happen and we needed better communication. This fucking blows. Work days before holidays are supposed to be nice and slow, dammit, and now I fear I might actually work on Thanksgiving.

I can kind of relate, actually... not this week but during the last two weeks of December a lot of our developers will push our editing team to prioritize their course so it gets published before the end of the year. It's kind of funny because the way my boss sets the schedule, our course priorities are pretty much set in stone at least a month in advance.
Developers who procrastinate don't get their course into the lineup, and their emergency does not become our emergency (my boss is pretty awesome too). It's kind of fun to be able to tell people no sometimes. I hope you're able to tell somebody "NO" and still have a relaxing Thanksgiving holiday!
I've only ever had sauerkraut cold...why in God's name would anyone want to eat warm sauerkraut?!
In my family we have warm roasted sauerkraut with polish sausage. I hate it with the heat of a thousand suns. It's disgusting, makes the house stink and I wish my Grandmother wouldn't make it. Damn polish traditions. Ick.

That's all I've known is hot sauerkraut. German and Polish upbringing, right here
This kind of makes me wonder if cold sauerkraut is a Southern US thing. My MIL's grandmother used to make her own sauerkraut in a stone crock in the crawlspace under the house. As far as I know, they always ate it cold. (At least, I've only ever seen my MIL eat it cold.)
