I dunno. I didn't register, so it would be a morning of registration. The local turkey trot is 4 miles. Why can't they do a regular 5k? That extra .9 just seems too much on t-day morning.
I'm going on a bike ride tomorrow, probably mountain biking. No cyclocross racing this weekend. I'm doing an advanced mountain bike clinic given by one of the local pro racers. It's 8 hours of intense instruction. I think I need to break out my full face helmet and knee pads.

Me!!! I got an email yesterday saying the race may be postponed do to weather. Well they went and looked at the permit and insurance and apparently they can't postpone it so I'll be out there trail racing. I bought microspikes, this should be interesting.

I'm on this team. Weird distances are too common among turkey trots. I'm doing a 5 mi race tomorrow
Me! I've got a 5k in the morning. My sister, BIL and nephew are running, too. DH was supposed to run, but he has a cold. I think he is going to give his bib to one of our nieces.

I feel like between work & travel Thanksgiving morning would get hectic if I went to an official race (about 45 minutes in either direction). But I have my own tradition of always running in the morning, and as I think back it's always been outside.
It's supposed to be the coldest Thanksgiving here in many years though. Current forecast suggests about 10 below zero with 20 below windchill. So.., we'll see. I might hit the treadmill after weighing pros and cons.

Me! I am doing the 5 mile turkey chase in my town. Its kind of gross out right now with rain/sleet and is supposed to change to snow later this afternoon. I've heard nothing about cancelling. I bought yak trax yesterday and tried them on over my sneakers last night and hated them:(

Me! 5k tomorrow. I've been second in my AG for three years. Now I've aged up, which means I'll probably be third, because old women in my town be fast.

Good luck and Happy Thanksgiving to you all!
I've got nothing, but my DDs are doing a 1 mile run on Friday morning. As of right now, #2 wants her dad to run with her but that's subject to change...I may find out that morning (possibly even after we get there!) that it'll be me, instead.

There's a 5k in my hood. Juuuust sayin.
I know. andrealynn kept asking me if I wanted to do it with her. I'm just going to wing it, and do what I feel like that morning.
Me! There's an inaugural TT 4 miler going on 5 minutes from my house, I can't not try it out. Plus you get a big bottle of craft beer. I feel like I'm cheating on the TT 5 miler that enfuego23 is doing-that was my first race ever (in 2006, eek!) and I've run it every year but 2011 when I led a pace group at the OTHER Thanksgiving race that's going on near here. I felt like I was cheating on the 5 miler, and probably will feel that way again tomorrow. But it's SO close to home, and half an hour earlier than the 5 miler...J is volunteering at a local Salvation Army with a group from work from 11-12:30 so I need to be back in time to take a shower while there's an extra set of hands/eyes to watch the rugrat.
I'm doing a tiny trail 10k run by a guy in my trail group. Should be a blast! It's a tough course, and these guys are fast, so I plan to just run and not race.
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.
