We selected a 3 year old boy for one of our Angel Tree kids this year. What's popular with your 3-ish year old boys? I'll take suggestions at pretty much any price point!

I have a 3yr old DS. His favorite things right now are trucks, trains, dinosaurs, and animals.
Eta: For the animals and dinosaurs, I recommend the good plastic kind. My friend's DS loved to take them in the bathtub with him. For the trucks, I have some of the larger types of trucks you can get for $6 at Krogers, and lots of Hot Wheels. He likes building too, so Duplos are great for that.

Tractors Firetrucks Cars, trucks, planes (hot wheels or bigger size) Ramp or race track for car Magna Tiles puzzles books trains - they have decently priced wooden train sets at Target, I think I saw one for $50ish yesterday, there were smaller sets too
Anything with wheels or a motor- planes, cars, trucks, tractors, construction vehicles.
This is what mine likes. I also love play tunnels and play tents for kids this age.
DS now turns evey opportunity into a 'tunnel'. He crawls under the coffee table, in between my legs, under anything he can fit and calls it a 'tunnel'.

We are in a tunnel phase too! We are constantly building block tunnels. Soooooooooooo many tunnels.
My 3 year old boy is obsessed with superheroes. What about a super hero cape from superflykids.com? I ordered a custom one last week and already got it in the mail. My DS also loves dressing up. Or tractors, trucks (a tonka dump truck maybe), and airplanes and rickets (a stomp rocket maybe).

Mine loves freeway overpasses. He shouts "Tunnel! Whoosh!" every time we drive under one. Then he keeps saying it louder until you repeat "Tunnel whoosh!"
