reasonable for 6 regular height walls? I wanted paint over the brown accent walls and most of them are a pillar or a half wall or something. Only two full walls. Does $300 + paint seem reasonable? Thank you. Sorry for all the house qs.

That doesn't sound too bad honestly. If they are working around fireplaces and such there will be a lot of cutting in to do which is much slower.
Also - is the accent wall colour bold or deep? They may need to put on an extra coat especially where they are cutting in. Painting over my little sister's deep red bedroom was a horrible experience.

Keep in mind - they may not be doing a large area but they are also going to have to put down drop cloths and set up their equipment the same as if they were doing the entire room. Doing small areas is not as cost-effective as bringing someone out for a larger space.

I now feel like I've commented too much in here. My brother worked as a residential and commercial painter for years and I worked in high school for a faux-finish painter, which I think only existed as a job description for a brief part of the 90s when venetian plaster walls and sponge effects were all the rage.
I faux-painted marble all over a new local church. I haven't been back to see it since I'm not Anglican but I'm tempted to see if it looks ok or is the same as I remember 16 years later.

lol, no, I appreciate the advice. Thank you. The walls are a deep brown, so they will need multiple coats. There will lot of taping required too since it's a half wall. So I too think this is quite reasonable and I'll ask the guy to proceed with the job.
That sounds about right. Try countering that he buy the paint?
The seller left us some leftover paint, so we won't be buying that either. I love our seller!! All we need to buy is our accent color. This is working out good!
