FIL is going to be able to leave full time nursing home and has been accepted at an Adult Foster Care facility. He will get to room with an old neighbor of his and I think that will make the transition easier. He will be able to go there Dec 5th :::fingers crossed::: He just has to get discharged from the therapy/rehab place he is in now.
FIL's kitty- his name is Cat, got a new home today. FIL's caregivers have been taking care of him, but he was lonely, not eating. They'd posted his info and his picture all over FB. It had been a week and no response. We didn't want him to go to a shelter
Yesterday someone wanted to know if he was fixed (no) so I told them to say we'd pay $100 towards shots, vet, etc... they could have all his toys, food, stuff. Cat went to his new home today with a new little boy and family to love. I may have cried, sniff.
Lots of goods news for so many and it's all great to read. Was also glad to read on another thread that frkls husband is doing well and being released. Hopefully many more are also having good news, safe travels. Looking forward to our kids, grandson and others being at our house Friday afternoon for a belated Thanksgiving dinner. We don't have any big good news but we're all happy and healthy and safe.
Great news Pom and KaraOrNot! I am thankful for my family and looking forward to seeing my niece and nephew tomorrow (and my sister and BIL). I love those kids so much and wish we lived closer so I can see them more often. (sniff)
There so many small things and thankful for, which keeps me going. I'm especially thankful for friends who listen to me babble on our runs when I feel like I'm grasping at straws in other areas of my life.
I'm thankful I was able to come home to deal with parental health issues. As annoying and frustrating as my father is, I do realize his time is growing shorter. And, in the grand scheme of Alzheimer's patients, he is just annoying with the lack of short term memory, but otherwise happy as a clam. And he knows he has no short term memory.

TSA lines were so short I waited less than 5 minutes.
There's a little boy (maybe 3) who keeps offering people high fives and about every third person is giving him one.
For supposedly being the craziest travel day if the year so far everyone is really polite, nice and chilled out. I have heard more people shouting "Happy Thanksgiving" than being rude.

I'm still on cloud nine about my new job. I'm also super excited that my entire family is coming here tomorrow and we are hosting an amazing Thanksgiving.
