I have my new iphone in hand! It took three different stores to find one in stock. I wasn't going to attempt it after Thanksgiving. I'm so glad I didn't get the plus. The regular size already feels giant.
I am so over our house right now. It needs so much work and I just want to trash most of our furniture and start fresh. I know that's not practical though.
I don't want to start another post but I have to AW our family photos. OMG, they are perfect. This photo is basically my kid's whole personality in a nutshell.

@brie_2010 - those are adorable!!! C looks so cute and full of personality.
I'm just chilling in the bathroom while the kids play in the bath. Hopefully having a quiet night tonight and going to bed early to get some rest and kill the last of the cold that is lingering.
Why does DD abhor sleep? She just laid down on the floor. No wait, she's up and over by me trying to chew her unopened bottle of formula. It's gotten to the point where she has to be practically asleep on the floor otherwise putting her in the crib any earlier will result in her standing right up and getting a second wind.
ETA - she also just pooped. And now I feel terrible because I was getting frustrated with her acting tired on the floor but then acting up in her crib and my husband came over and picked her up and was like "uh poo diaper." We're pushing 10:30 and no sleepy baby in sight.

Love the photos and I purchased the same sweater for H when we had our family photos taken when O was born! Great taste!
DS was a complete mess and went to bed at 6:30. An hour to hour and a half early. Normally, I would be freaking out about him being up super early, but we're planning to leave for our drive around 5:30 am. So, it might just work out. And he might be up at 11:00 thinking he just took a nap. Fun times ahead.
Is it too early to start the Crying with Santa picture thread? We just got the previews from our Santa mini-session and DS has a few good ones (actual good ones, but also adorable crying ones!)
The crying ones are my favorite. I'm a mean mom, lol
Started the day with projectile vomiting, threw in some serious diarrhea throughout the day, some wheezing, and he's now asleep and hopefully won't have anymore throughout the day. We watched his first movie today since he was sick...saw frozen for the first time and it was good!
We tried to start the transition away from the bedtime bottle tonight. It was disastrous. I ended up calling to DH to prepare a bottle after about 10 minutes.
I probably should have started taking the bottle away sooner, but DS only just started STTN somewhat regularly and I wasn't about to switch anything up, just in case.
We're waiting to hear from the realtor. Idk what the sellers will say since they flipped it and we already settled for less than they put into it. I love this house. I'm worried about paying more than it's worth, especially if we're going to sell it in the future. Idk what to do.
So does that mean they flipped it but are still asking 14k more than it is worth?
They're asking over 20k more than the appraisal amount. Idk how much they bought it for though. We settled at 14k more than appraisal(6k less than asking).
we stay up so much later than everyone else when we visit the ILs. Everyone else was in bed by 9:30. Dh is just now going to bed and I'm probably staying up for another hour. Going to work on my Shutterfly photo gift projects.

My MIL always makes these pumpkin bars for Thanksgiving. They are pretty meh. I have a pumpkin bar recipe I love and want an excuse to make. I won't just make it for us because I'd gain 10 lbs eating it all. The one year I brought them to Thanksgiving people ate way more of mine than hers and I could tell she was hurt plus, she made a passive aggressive comment about it. So I never make them. I'm unreasonably bitter about it, though.
My two year old is too adorable lately. Every time I bring him something at the table he looks up smiles and says 'thank you mommy' in the world's sweetest voice.
And I got major baby snuggles tonight from DS2.
So sweet (heart)
If I make food or clean or generally do anything, DS gives me a thumbs up and says "good job momma, thank you!" I'm like, "uh...you're welcome for toasting Eggo waffles?"
Our fire alarms randomly went offat midnight and woke up DS. It's 1:40 and he's still awake. He's just rolling around in his crib but still. Tomorrow is going to be a disaster if he doesn't sleep
DD was an angel on the 6 hour drive to Ohio. Napped, played with Sophie, babbled, whatever. 1 diaper change stop.
I, on the other hand, was a colossal mess. I must have food poisoning or something. I threw up 3 times, 2 of which were in the car. I feel fine in between attacks but they come on so suddenly. Can't keep water down.
Silver lining is that DH is staying with DD in one guest room and I have another to myself so I can sleep.

I know it's only day 3, but I can't get over how much L loves to be swaddled. Diaper changes are a cry fest, but as soon as she is re-swaddled, its like instant-relief.

*%#^**#{ Leo has been up three times since 12:30. DH goes up to rock him and he's fine, but once he's back in the crib he's upset again. Of all the nights, it has to be the one we really need the sleep.
Ds1 got up at 5am sharp, came quietly into our room and was easily coaxed into bed with us.. Unfortunately ds2 woke up 5 mins later, ds1 was very concerned ds2 was sad and felt we all needed to get him... So now I'm bedsharing with ds2 hoping he nurses easily back to sleep and dh is downstairs in the tv room probably half dozing on the futon while ds1 watches cartoons.
We did have a cute moment while changing ds2's diaper on the floor. Ds1 was watching and commenting on the process, then totally out of the blue says "I love you Noah" Awww. First time he's ever said that unprompted to anyone.

DD went down great with only 3 minutes of crying. Then she was up at 4:30. She slept 9 hours, so, I guess that's technically STTN? I nursed her then put her back to bed. I couldn't go back to sleep, so I got out of bed & made coffee.
I maybe could have let her CIO, but for some unknown reason DH opened her bedroom door so the crying was extra loud. I shut the door when I put her down, I do not understand why he keeps opening it, but it's pissing me off. We need to have a talk about this, apparently.
