I'm home drinking wine, watching tv, and relaxing. I needed a quiet night in. Plus, Thanksgiving Eve is the biggest bar night (at least it is here) and I don't want to take a chance being on the roads with potential drunk drivers.
Finally relaxing by surfing the net and watching some basketball. Just finished making the chocolate pie for tomorrow and I can't wait. Thanksgiving is the one time of year I make this so I'm looking forward to eating as much of it as possible the next few days.

Went out for dinner in the city where we lived before we bought our house, then hung out at the bar for a bit after. It was good to see familiar faces, I really needed to get out and socialize. I left T there with some of his friends and I'll pick him up tomorrow morning since I'll be back down that way to go to boot camp. Probably my last Thanksgiving Eve going out ever, lol.
I went out with one of my favorite friends. We laughed a ton and came up with a plan for him to invite a girl on a date. He just got out of a 5 year relationship, so he's a little out of practice.

DH and I are watching Armageddon. Rather, I'm internetting and he's fallen asleep on his end of the couch. I need to make a few things to take for TG dinner tomorrow, but I'm dragging and don't want to get off the couch. We had a power outage last night, and weirdly enough, I have trouble sleeping during a power outage, because it gets stuffy and I can't use my sleep sounds machine, and my tinnitus makes it hard to sleep if there is no other noise. I'm trying to decide what I can make tomorrow and what needs to be done tonight. I'm thinking it can all wait until tomorrow, and I can just be lazy on the couch tonight.

Do you have meniere's disease? My mom has that and has so much trouble with the noise in her ear. She also has horrible vertigo! I hope you feel better soon!
I'm trying hard not to remember the good times. XH and I love Thanksgiving Eve because we would go to the bars and pretend we were 21 again. Not tonight.
I'm also super sad because I had a tradition of a very early morning outdoor run, I can't do that since my kids are so young. So the treadmill it is.
1confused1 I am so sorry you are sad today! Try to remember that you are an awesome parent and that your kids are thankful for that this Thanksgiving! I hope you have an awesome holiday with your family!
I spend the day with the wonderful, incredible couple that saw me last week in Nashville, except today I was at their home in Indiana. She made a mini Thanksgiving for me. OMG. I just love them.
There was a light snow tonight and the my hometown looks pretty. I drove my ex-in law's house and I felt that sad, longing pang. Will it ever completely go away?
The mobile site refuses to let me log in, so I feel really out of the loop since I hate reading the site when I'm not logged in.

No, fortunately. It's just hearing damage from the different jobs I was working while in the Navy.

Thank you for your service!! I am so sorry for the hearing damage. My mom is deaf in one ear because of her meniere's disease, even though she had surgery.
starburst604: I don't know how I missed it, but you are having a girl!? Congrats!! Do you have a name picked out yet? I have two nieces, so I know girls are soooo fun!!!!

Thank you! Unfortunately, hearing is one of those things that kids don't think they need to protect. I could have avoided a large percentage of the damage if I'd just used the protective equipment available to me, but at 25, hearing damage only seems like something oldsters have to worry about, you know? Sorry about your mom's hearing, hopefully it doesn't get any worse.

Thank you! Most of the time my mom will let the person know they are "on her wrong side" so she didn't hear them! Luckily for me, and unfortunately for other people, I am loud, so most of the time she can hear me!

Thanks yes, a little girl We do have a name for her, I've always planned to name my daughter after my Nana and luckily he loved the name too! Sooooo excited.
I was too tired todo anything last night. The train ride home was long because if the weather. We waited in New Haven for almost an hour so that a delayed train getting there with connecting passengers could make it.
I forgot how much my mom talks. I love her to death but I needed to decompress when I got home and she's on all the time. I'm starting to realize why I'm so tired when I come home. Introvert, party of one
