Little guy doesn't take the boob very well yet. The doctor who cared for him in NICU, told us to supplement with formula every 3 hours, and he apparently developed a preference for bottles very quickly. He does decently with a nipple shield, but the edges on the shield keep flipping up and covering his little nose. Am I crazy for considering asking for medical tape to just tape the damn thing on or is there a better solution.
Not crazy. Do what works for you! Have you seen a lactation consultant yet?
yes. she gave me the nipple shield. But they don't have one overnight, and I was wondering how crazy I was going to come off, if I do ask for if. He's actually sleeping right now, so I'm going to wait till he wants to eat.

Also, flip it inside out when you go to put it on. And just to reassure you, I used it for 6+ months, and I had no problems breastfeeding and giving a bottle during that time.
