My stupid period showed up an hour before the start. I was not feeling 100% to say the least. I finished around 27 minutes, not my best race but I beat my sister!

Not a turkey trot BUT we do grace (30 power clean and jerks) on thanksgiving every year. And this year I did it Rx at 95# in 6:38 vs last year at 75# and 5:43. Boom!! Now it's time for some ice on my shoulder and food.

I ran a 10k this morning. It was all hills! Not my fastest time by a long shot, but I ran 2 marathons in the past month, so I don't think my legs are ready to go fast yet.

Unofficially finished my 5k in 21:37 according to my watch. Was hoping to finish under 21, so nowhere near my goal.
Results should be up later today. Based on previous years' results, I should be right on the cusp for an AG award. Hope I snagged one! (ATC mails them, and they are nice )
Finished in 23:08. I was hoping to go sub 23, but there was a ton of wind and a crazy hill in the last mile. I won my age group and got the cutest trophy ever.
I finished 7th in 25:18ish. I felt pretty good, though I was hoping for a better finish. But I can't complain. I got to watch a beautiful sunrise while running and tried to just enjoy being out there

I'm not even close to you fast runners, but did my 10k about 6 minutes faster than my goal, and felt really good after! So proud of DS - he ran his 1mi in 11:31. First time he has run the whole race!
ETA: Finally able to fix the pic, though if anyone knows how to make them smaller in Tapatalk, I'd love to know the secret!

I think I need to learn how to pace myself in 10ks. I only run one a year, so I have no clue how to run them. I think I set a new 5k PR for the first 3.1 miles... Lol. Needless to say I could not sustain that pace for the next 3.1 miles.

I ran a 36:51 5k. Not my best 5k by far, but considering it was a trail race covered in 2-4 inches of snow. It was definitely a success. I bought some microspike and felt amazing. It ended up being single track racing though so I definitely could've done better but it was nice just to be out there. I held back and didn't want to hurt myself, I saw a lot of people sliding around and a few people pulled some muscles.
HM PR for me today, 1:45:0x. Dang it, just a few seconds away from a 1:44. My goal was under 8:00 pace b/c I always run races so much longer (my Garmin had it at 13.25 miles), and my garmin had my pace at 7:56. It's just hard to be psyched when I was so close to a 1:44. Will try to focus on the 7:56.
Thanks to runblondie26 for the cheer at 11.5 miles. I was tired!
Congrats to all the turkey trotters! Y'all rocked it!

Great job everyone!!!!
I woke up with major stomach issues. If the race hadn't been less than 2 minutes from my house I probably would of bailed. By the time the race started the constant feeling of needing to run to the toilet was replaced by nausea. At one point during the race I had to stop because I thought I was going to throw up. My splits were all over the place. I finished and I am pretty sure I missed my goal by 30 seconds:(. I came across the finishers mat and kept going right out and of the parking lot and walked home. Once I got home I took a shower, drank some strawberry lemonade nuun and ended up falling asleep. My year I am going to crush it!!

Lol, I never know how to race 10ks too. I imagine those last 3.1 miles were horrible:)

Congrats on the PR! Obviously the marathon training is going well!
I can't believe I managed to see you. Since I had the morning to myself, I decided to turn race day into long run day as well. I backtracked the half course to get in and extra 9 miles after the 5k. Those hills and the wind. Whew.
Timeout!! There are too many "if only I ran 3 seconds faster or I didn't race my best comments in this post." Y'all are awesome for getting up in the cold and running on Thanksgiving. I'm impressed by everyone here for making an active lifestyle a priority in our busy lives.
Well done, ladies! I finished my 4 miler in 34:something, which I'm happy with even though it's not my best time....I had a lot of weaving around people to do for the first mile so that didn't help.
The trail 10k delivered on the race director's description as "brutal"! I took it a bit easy and stopped at the two aid stations for water and to drop off and pick up my (ill conceived) long sleeve shirt. Finished in 58:58, which I was pretty pleased about, as my last trail 10k was 1:07 or something, but not many data points for that distance on trail.
