If you have sent any cards to France, Ireland or Australia from the US, how many stamps? I usually just stick on about 5 stamps, hope I overpaid and hope for the best.
I am trying to look it up this year and the calculator on the usps website says $6 for France. That doesn't sound right to me. I'd like to save a trip to the post office if this is something others deal with routinely. I haven't even checked the other countries yet. They are just regular xmas cards, not overweight or anything.
Or if you have a good calculating website, I'd take that, too.
We send a card to Germany every Christmas and I usually have it metered at the post office. It usually costs less than $2, which is amazingly cheap in my opinion. Six bucks seems way too high.
A traditional letter international letter is $1.15.
If your doing photo cards either over stamp or bring them in to be metered. Because some can be heavier or odd size (square). But generally if I send a letter in a normal envelope with one photo it is covered in the $1.15.
Also they have first class international stamps that are holiday themed. It's a large round stamp with a wreath.
