My child just downloaded 150 dollars in app

A was playing with my iPad. H was using it yesterday and was annoyed with the password all the time, so he disabled it.

A bought 150 dollars worth in-app purchases and kids app.

My nephew did the same thing last Christmas, and it turned into a huge family fight--MIL was on the hook for the purchases, and SIL just threw up her hands like "what can I do about it?!?" BIL got SO angry, because he cannot stand how SIL free loads off MIL. DRAMA!

Yes. We've taken it away for the rest of the weekend.

She can read, so the in app purchases that say a parent needs to enter these numbers... Yeah, she can do that.

I don't know if she knew she was buying stuff, but she knows if stuff pops up she is supposed to bring it to us to make sure it's okay for her to download.

Because it's normally locked, it always asks for the iTunes password. So, normally it doesn't let her do anything.

I talked to apple, and they refunded the purchases.

Glad they refunded the purchases. GD2 paid $60 to turn her horse into a unicorn on the My Horse game the first day she got the tablet, before we'd even installed security measures. We got a refund and they let her keep the glittery unicorn horse. But she didn't get the tablet back until we put in all the security and had a major sit-down with both girls.

This is one reason we have in app purchases disabled. Glad you got your money back.
