I might have to go up there this weekend / early next week for work, how's the area / weather / travel etc? Everything I'm reading is making me dread this trip.
It will be bad. I'm 2 hours from revelstoke, but h drives through there all the time to and from work and he says it's ALWAYS shit. It's going to be super cold next week too (like -15/-20 for a low).
Yesterday I heard they were not advising travel through the mountain passes but if you chose to ignore the warning please bring a well stocked emergency kit
It's looking like my boss might go by himself and meet with our partner from Vancouver in Kelowna to go to Revelstoke.
Yeah the flights are looking ridiculously expensive and long and then there is still 3-4 hours of driving to get there. Like 27 hours, 3 plane changes, and $1500/ea.
Yeah, flights are crazy right now. I'm in vernon (next town over from kelowna), and we just had 6" of snow that is all melting, so everything's wet. We're expecting it to get super cold so all of that wet stuff it going to freeze and the highway from kelowna - revelstoke might be pretty slick.
