But that's not gonna happen because I don't have one. Even a breast would be sold frozen right? Everyone is coming back over today for leftovers and to hang out. What's an easy protein to make? Should I make a ham? I've never made on before.
Ham is as easy as it gets. I made one yesterday in the crock pot. Put about 1 1/2 c of brown sugar on the bottom, at a little juice from a can of pineapple, stick the ham in, rub more brown sugar on top (or the packet, if it comes with one), them dump a little more juice and pieces of pineapple on/around it. I cooked my 10 lb ham on low for about 3 hours & kicked it to high for the last hour, but that probably wasn't necessary. Easy & delicious! You just have to watch to not over cook it of it'll fall apart (I used a spiral sliced). You can leave out the pineapple juice. It doesn't need additional liquid.
I was thinking that, but it's black Friday and I'm not going near Costco.
I think I'll do a ham. Our turkey was 19 pounds but we only have a little left. I made a two trays of every side dish and we didn't even finish one tray of each.
Yay!! Did you end up using a bag? How was your Thanksgiving?
I did! I will never make it another way.
We need to get together and I'll tell you alllllll about it, lol.
Oooooh yes, let's do. Do you have any time this weekend? We have a birthday party to go to in Southlake Saturday until 5:30.
Thanksgiving is normally my favorite holiday and I love every part of planning and prep, but my mom and I got into a fight that lasted a couple of weeks (about Thanksgiving) and so it kind of tainted the experience for me this year.
