This buzzfeed post was from 2012. We have come a long way in two years. Obviously we have a long way to go to change bias and bigotry, but the looks on the couples' faces make me want to cry. And when both Arkansas and Mississippi have had their marriage bans overruled in the last few days, that is really something.
I really wish this country would take the separation of church and state more seriously. My right to freedom of religion is infringed upon when laws are created and upheld based upon the religion of others.

DD and I had to have a conversation last night because she said "I hope they don't grow gay" when her brothers were snuggling. She wasn't happy with my reaction--I boiled it down to kindness and respect. Therefore it doesn't matter if you are gay or straight, rich or poor, black or white, everyone deserves kindness and respect.
