H picked up one from Home Depot this morning for $80 - it's 7.5 feet, pre-lit with LED lights. It's out of stock online, I don't know if they still have them in the store yet or not. He took it out and set it up at my parents' to see if we liked it - I was skeptical when it first came out of the box but once we separated all the branches, it looks nice.
You can't buy online, but this is the tree I bought and I love it. It's beautiful and has a good fullness. The outside needles aren't the typical plastic looking things.
We got our most recent from Sears and love it. They by far had the best looking trees at the best prices. Looks like they have several with good reviews on sale below your price point.
I love our fake tree! We got ours AFTER Christmas, definitely do that. It's a really nice tree. I think it was originally almost $400 and we got it for 75% off. We've had it for several years, we're probably due for a new one. We also got a smaller 6ft tree for David's room two years ago after Christmas and it was like $20. I'd totally wait for sales.

Just say no! I hate our fake tree! The worst part is having to manipulate the branches to make sure there are no holes. We have a prelit and every fucking year a strand burns out. Do you know how strongly those bastards are wrapped around those branches? It's a nightmare.
I'd rather vacuum pine needles hourly than do this again.
DH would rather have a fake tree, but he's gotten pretty good at mustering up the enthusiasm to pick out a real one every year.
Ha, my H is the opposite. He gets all moppy every year because we can't have a real tree and it just isn't Christmas without a real one. Blah blah blah. It's not that I don't want a real tree, it's just that I am highly allergic to them and will spend the entire Christmas season miserably sick. H forgets that fact every year.
Last year I got an excellent deal at Target during Thanksgiving weekend. It's not a huge tree (we needed slim profile) but it was on sale for less than $50.
We just bought a 9' from Home Depot for $178. The same freaking tree at Lowes was over $500!!!! Most trees at Lowes were incredibly overpriced, even with the 25% off, compared to Home Depot. I was SHOCKED. Even the "Martha Stewart" trees at HD were cheaper than the no-name brands at Lowes. It could just be my local Lowes, but the prices were ridiculous. So I'd recommend comparing any Lowes tree to the price at HD or pretty much anywhere else. I'm still floored at the price difference. And it wasn't a mis-mark, either.
