I have not lost the gift of being able to sleep til noon. Unfortunately today is not one of those days. A little late getting on the road today but we go "back in time" so we will gain an hour back at least.
You guys my BIL is so ridic. A complete one upper on everything. So glad we only see him about 48 hrs every year.
Also a birthday girl today 33 woohoo. I am not enjoying the fact that my bday falls smack in the middle of this 5 day weekend. These kids NEED school and so does their mama! I did get to sleep till 930 this morning though so that was happy.

Out on my Saturday morning alone time, I call it my weekly vacation. Today I went for a 3 mile run and now I'm eating all the calories back at Starbucks. I am so slow and out of shape but pretty proud of myself, I ran three times this week!
After I get home we're all headed to the gym so DH can work out and DS1 and I can swim. Then Costco and this afternoon we're putting up the tree and Christmas decorations! I'm so excited for the holiday season to begin!
I got my ass up for a nice early run with one of my bestest running buddies, got my hairs did, ran some errands, and now were getting ready to watch football. Today is already a success and we haven't even dropped AJ off with my parents for the night yet

DH and I were coherent enough last night to come up with a shift plan for nighttime. Between that and her sleeping better because my milk is in, we did all right in the sleep department. I feel slightly more human today.

Dh spent 5 hours this morning trying to fix a corrupt Windows installation. At hour 5, ds1 went into the office to see what dh was doing, wandered up to the keyboard and smashed his toy helicopter on the keyboard. Dh's first reaction was "oh god no!" and then he saw the screen. A menu had popped up talking about boot file repair - his installation was finally visible. Then, before he could read further, ds1 smashed his helicopter on the keyboard again. To dh's surprise the computer then stated the problem was solved and booted up. My toddler is a twy sentwa tech genius

Happy birthday ladies!
I'm still pissed about how my MIL acted at IL's Thanksgiving yesterday. She's BEC for me anyway. She has limited mobility (I'll be nice and leave it at that) so she barks orders at everyone. And I just can't stand the way she speaks to my FIL. After the meal, she wanted pie and he got up to get himself some anyway so he was going to get her a piece. She said she wanted pumpkin, so that's what he brought. She looked at it and shouted WHAT'S THAT?!. I DON'T SEE ANY COOL WHIP! Never says thank you or anything polite. She is rude, super loud, a know it all, gossipy, and just all around unpleasant.
I mean my FIL puts up with it so it is sort of on him. But I can't stand to be around her. I pretend I can't hear her so I don't have to engage.
eta - she also asked if I'm still nursing because "I was drinking booze" (one glass of wine). I said yes and it is perfectly safe. She gave me a judging look. Bitch.
Dad bought me a giant cooler for my birthday. We already have a slightly smaller one. We don't host parties that much, and when we do we end up with more beer/soda in the cooler than our guests eat. We don't go camping much.
At least someone is enjoying it. It has wheels and a handle, so I guess it's like a wagon?

Happy birthday, everyone!
I'm holding down the fort with a grumpy , possibly teething DD while H is at the ER with FIL. FIL had a biopsy earlier this week that confirmed he had kidney cancer, followed by surgery to remove the tumor a couple days later, during which he had a bad reaction to one of the drugs he was given. I guess he was completely incoherent today and keeps falling down and passing out. Not sure what's going on, as I haven't gotten any updates in a couple hours. I wish I could do something to help, but H doesn't want DD at the hospital if she doesn't have to be.
Wow, that's a lot of birthdays today! Happy birthday!
My parents have been here since Tuesday evening and it has been awesome (they're super helpful with things like kitchen cleanup and playing with DD). They're thinking of leaving tomorrow instead of Monday and I really want them to stay because it's really been great having them. Also my morning sickness got way worse this week and they've been helping keep me fed and rested.
It is so cold here today. It feels like -34C so that's -29F. I am not leaving the house today.
DD is starting to crawl, she took a couple of 'steps' today so I think H might put up the baby gate. We need to buy another for our other set of stairs too.
I want to try and make some handprint ornaments sometime this weekend.
Oh, and we decorated our Christmas tree today. We have lights and "shatterproof" (aka plastic) ornaments within DD's reach and so far she has tried to take them off a few times but I think we may be able to teach her to leave them alone. Otherwise we'll need to put up the superyard around the tree, which wouldn't be as pretty. Anyone had luck getting toddlers to leave ornaments alone? At least I had the brilliant idea of using loops of yarn to hang the ornaments instead of those metal hooks, so it's relatively safe if she does make off with them.
We all went to Target and somehow ended up buying a new mattress next door :-| How did that happen? LOL. DH's been having back pain for awhile, and I'm optimistic it will help with his snoring. Really good BF sale, and they're delivering tomorrow for free!

Save your old one for the guest room so he can sleep there if it doesn't help his snoring.
We are car shopping, which I hate more than gynecological exams or dental work. H had to return his company car on Wednesday so we're looking at things that we can pay cash for right now (on very short notice) without having an extra car payment. The selection is, um, limited at best.

No space in the guest room for a queen mattress, not even close! We've got the futon in there. He's also been falling asleep on the new couch EVERY night, so I wouldn't feel bad kicking him there either. His snoring is much better, but sometimes still annoying. I'm hoping the new mattress will improve it even further. Imagine if I could get a SNORE FREE night you guys!!!

We are going to walk through Xmas lights tonight. It's about 42 degrees but cloudy (and will be dark obvs). Should I put dd in her snowsuit or will she be ok in just leggings and her snozu?

Maybe jeans or fleece pants?
No fleece pants - I just ordered some fleece lined jeans but haven't gotten them yet. None of her jeans are super thick
My random- I just gave my college-age nephew some nursing tea. It was an accident. I mixed up our mugs. I didn't realize it until after he drank it all and I went back not the kitchen for my own mug.
Happy birthday, rbp!! It's also my birthday! I was told my a teachers years ago that most people in the US are born on today's date.
DH is downstairs with DS1 who is super fussy - happy birthday to me - so I'm staying upstairs with DS2. My sister us also here and we are going shopping in town today.
I really hope my two year old's mood improves.....
Happy birthday to you, too! I am 32 today. How old are you turning? I know two people who are turning 31 today, but no one else who was born in the same year! I know a lot more people with April and September birthdays!
What the actual fuck. My sinus infection was diagnosed Tuesday, clearing up by Thursday. Was in UC on Friday for asthma crap. Today I'm pretty sure I have a cold now.
