I held out until today (10dpo / CD30) to test this cycle, and got a BFN this morning. Last cycle I didn't test again after that because AF came later the same day (surprisingly early for me), so 10dpo became CD1. This cycle, I'm trying to decide how often to test after today's BFN, for however long until I either get CD1 or a BFP.
Once you start testing, do you test every day? Every other? Wait til you're late? Some other game plan?
I'll be traveling on business later this week so I'll probably test on Thursday so I know whether I can have drinks at dinner with coworkers, but I'm trying to decide what my plan is, more generally. I'm hoping it'll be less stressful with a plan.
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.
I really try to wait until I'm late, but the one time I was actually late, I tested the day AF was due and then the next day. AF showed up the day after that. I'm not good at waiting though.
I typically wait to test until I'm late and only if my temp doesn't drop. I have tested a few days before that but am usually so bummed out by a BFN that I don't test again.
This week I'm going to test Friday am regardless, even though AF is due that day. I have a work holiday party at night and need to know if I should be downing the alcohol.
lol, sounds like everything from one extreme to the other is normal
I feel like I am happier not seeing the BFNs, but I agree it is hard to wait! I have about $60 left in my FSA for the year, so if I get to CD1 of a next cycle I think I'll use some of what's left to order a big ole pack of Wondfos just to have in the closet.
I only test once and then CD usually comes. I'm hoping one of these I'll be pleasantly surprised and will need to test again. I just hate seeing the BFNs, so once is enough for me to assume I'm out.

I always started spotting slightly pretty early, like 9-10 DPO so I almost never bothered, though I did around 10dpo a few times. When I actually did get a BFP I didn't test till 13dpiui, the day my period was due. I'd had some spotting so was pretty convinced I was out, except it went away so I tested.
Last cycle I tested the day AF was due and 3 days later. AF arrived later that same day. The two months previous I knew we had bad timing so I didn't even bother testing; just waited for CD1. (We've only been TTC for 4 cycles including the one that's drawing to a hopefully *fx* happy ending next weekend.)
I only ever tested early when I had a triphasic pattern on my chart and implantation bleeding. I already had a lot of symptoms and was 99% certain I was pregnant, which I was.
Otherwise I wait for CD1, get a negative, and then CD1 comes later that day. I really shouldn't waste the test. Now that I've been pregnant the one time, I'm hoping I am less stupid about this and can not bother testing until I am certain.
