We leave on Thursday for Curacao and don't have anything set in stone for plans. We really just want to get away from the cold, crappy weather and unwind, so I didn't plan anything - though I've read up and have a good idea of where we might go. We're spending 3 nights in Westpunt and 2 nights in Willemstad. Any recs for restaurants, snorkel sites, activities?

Discover scuba?
We are certified, but love this shop, The Dive Bus. They are a lot of fun. This will probably be on the house reef - just across the street and isn't very deep to start seeing a lot of great stuff.

Thank you both for the recs.
We will have a car, so we do plan to drive around and check out several of the beaches. I just wasn't sure if anyone had favorites to recommend.
Norticprincess I'm not crazy about having my face in the water, but I read on Dive Bus' site, and it makes it seem pretty easy. And I know my H would love it. Maybe we'll give it a go!
Did either of you have issues with, or witness, car break-ins at the beaches? I've been reading on TA forums and several people are suggesting to leave the windows down and doors unlocked when you're at the beaches to avoid broken windows. I'm not sure how seriously to take that advice.

It can be really strange when you start. The house reef there you walk out and they really babysit you and get you comfortable.
I know for both Bonaire and CuraƧao the dive operators said not to leave anything in the cars (dive bus's parking lot was security cameras so things were fine there if you drove to the shop - they drove their van other sites) and leave windows down - Bonaire dive shop trucks have this plastered on the dash as a reminder. We were verbally reminded. The dive shops have places to store your stuff. We didn't do any go to the beach and not dive.
