Which usually happens first for you, the temp drop or red blood? Last cycle spotting turned to red blood, but my temp didn't actually drop until CD2. Today I'm on CD32, 12 DPO, and my temp dropped a fair amount:
I'm thinking this looks bad for this cycle, even though I don't know for sure yet that I'm on to CD1. So now I'm curious which should happen first. Does the temp drop tend to give you a heads up that CD1 is coming or the other way around (like my last cycle)?
For me, it's usually temp drop and then CD1 starts that day or the very next.
On one hand I'm mildly envious of the warning that AF is coming. That seems so convenient!
OTOH I'm still holding out hope that my body doesn't/isn't doing that right now! Our timing was so good this cycle.
Oh yeah, it was totally convenient to know when AF was coming rather than guessing when I came off of BCPs...but when TTC, it's a whole different story
My temp drops before, but I don't have many data points. A friend who's been temping each month for 2 years says hers consistently doesn't drop until CD2-3, but that this is different for everyone.
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.
Mine doesn't drop until after 2 - 3 days so CD 2 or 3, except for the month where I had a chemical pregnancy. That month my temp dropped, I freaked out, and then 2 days later I miscarried.
My temp seems to drop to just above the coverline on CD1. Sometimes I notice blood already in the morning and sometimes it's later that day. But looking at my charts it's (almost) always on CD1. Once it dropped to just above coverline and I didn't get AF until next morning.
It will keep dropping though and won't reach my pre-O levels until CD3-ish.
