More protest tonight. Lots of helicopters overhead. Twitter is reporting that the tear gas just came out again.
Really? It looked like the police had them pretty well confined on the news a minute ago. No one looked agitated on either side.
The window got busted out at the Radio Shack. Twitter tells me that the two dudes who broke it were shouted at to knock it off by the other protesters.
There's a famous bass player who lives in town. Today on Facebook, he had details about how his 18 year old son was attacked by the police last night. If anyone is curious, here's his public feed.

My friend was posting about this on Facebook. There definitely were protesters trying to stop it, and the looters beat them with a hammer, according to her account.

I think the tear gas was used on the protesters trying to block the highway? At least that is what twitter says. I have to hope that the cops aren't so stupid as to pump tear gas near a major highway.

I'm finally seeing some news the Monday morning. NBC Bay Area (which tends to be the most South Bay-focused and least left-leaning IME) spun it as violent protests, and pointed out that the destructive ones were a few exceptions, but mentioned nothing about police tactics.
