Oh my god. You've unfriended me on Facebook because I didn't like how you worded something and I disagree with you on one topic? Ok then. that was fast.
Wtf? I actually like you SBP. I have zero desire to "say something shitty to you." Im highly frustrated with your wording about this topic which is what my response was about. My comments were hardly mean.
It doesn't feel that way of late. And I think your characterization of my posts on economic issues was inaccurate. At best. I was hyperbolic in my post. I thought that was clear. It's obvious not every person with money is an asshole. How could that possibly be the case?
Your wording is inflammatory, as evidenced by my reaction.
And yes, I do feel that you are very anti those with wealth. If that is not true, then I will take your word for it. But that is how it comes across to me. When you make "hyperbolic' posts like that, then it will certainly over time appear that you feel that way.
I honestly do not remember another time recently that I have called you out for something. I really really don't. I don't even remember disagreeing with you lately, but perhaps I have.

I'm not sure I'd support a 90% top tax bracket. On the other hand, I do wonder whether it would be such a bad thing if people WERE discouraged from making billions and billions of dollars. Yes, I mean, that. What would it look like the reward for your second $500 million earned was only $50 million take home (is that math right?). Would salaries grow because there was no real incentive for the top executives to hoard the revenue?
It's actually $5 million. But it would essentially put a cap on salaries because nobody really earns $500 million a year in income. But this is a really interesting idea - what would happen if you practically speaking couldn't earn more than, say, $10 million a year in income? Would people really stop working hard because $10 million a year simply isn't enough to motivate people?
ETA I'm not advocating for this, to be clear. But as a thought experiment, it's interesting.
How would a super high tax bracket - like 90% - affect the perception of money and inflation? And how would this change the relations with other countries? I mean, if practically speaking $10 million take home was the highest one could get it seems like that could affect the price structure and value of things. Or would it really be almost irrelevant because the uber-rich don't necessarily spend most of their money but instead reinvest it and keep it floating in a nebulous instead of actually spending on stuff. Hopefully that makes sense.

These are really good questions. I would delve into them, but Homeland is on now
If that is how you see me, then ignore me. I didn't realize I had become a pot stirrer, esp where I was trying to diffuse a post. I should have known better than to try. But, yes, in the future please be sure to be less generalizing in nature and I will be sure to post things so as to not too, oh wait, f off. You get so ridiculous of late when anyone tries to say anything to you so, yup, foff
I do largely ignore you tef. Because most of the time I know that if I say up, you will say down and trying to sort out the middle with you is rarely illuminating. But you'll excuse me if every now and then I grow tired enough of that bullshit that I actually reply directly to you.
That is fine. I often will disagree with you because I fucking disagree with your thoughts on a subject. I thought that was the point of this whole damn board. I know you like to belittle me on that (happened before, but I am an adult and can take it). I didn't realize my not being beaten into submission by your disdain/disgust/whatever was not allowed. Your bullying bitch fucking attitude of late is so old and tiresome that my memories of you being one of my favorite posters who I had enjoyed reading, even when I disagreed with your thoughts, for have gone. Not everyone will agree with everyone. That is the whole damn point. So, excuse me sbp, pound sand.
Oh, and not that it probably matters, but I agree that the wealth gap in this country is appalling and is leading to

No. I unfriended you and tef because.over the past several months, you've often been feeling "contrary". Those are your words. And your contrary-ness seems often to result in you taking jabs at me. As you did in this post. In addition to the fact that I frequently post things on my FB about wealth inequality, it seemed like a bad idea to be connected through FB. Do you disagree?
If you want to insert yourself into my disagreement with Irish, you better be able to back up the accusation that I have been taking jabs at HER with something other than a worn out cliche. as for my Bitch fucking bully attitude blah blah tough talk, I think you've tipped your hat at where this is coming from, So that makes two of us who are not sorry.
you said tef in this post so I responded. Mea culpa
What tough talk...said you have a bully attitude. I stand by it. I don't even know what the tipped hand thing is. Lys? No clue. You win, though. I don't care enough. Have a good life. I mean that honestly.
