I had no idea there were other versions! Here's mine:
Rudolph, the red-nosed reindeer {reindeer} had a very shiny nose and if you ever saw it {saw it} you would even say it glows. {like a light bulb}
All of the other reindeer used to laugh and call him names {like pinnochio} They never let poor Rudolph {Rudolph} play in any reindeer games. {like Monopoly}
Then one foggy Christmas eve Santa came to say: {ho ho ho} "Rudolph with your nose so bright, won't you guide my sleigh tonight?"
Then all the reindeer loved him {loved him} as they shouted out with glee, {yippee} Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer, {reindeer} you'll go down in history! {like George Washington}
This is the version I learned except with 'in his underwear' instead of 'ho ho ho'.
Yes almost this except we said "howdy doody Rudy" not "ho ho ho". Just me?

WTH?? I've never heard ANY of this! I can't even imagine what it sounds like, because it seems to make ZERO sense (football?Columbus? WTF??? how does that even work?).
