Last sacrifice (Vampire Academy #6). It's actually pretty predictable, so not my favorite in the series. I might start Landline by Rainbow Rowell soon.
I used to get sick a lot. Like when I averaged 6.5 hours of sleep a night in high school. I get more sleep now, so I'm better (knock on wood). I have occasional headaches and sinus problems that can knock me down for a day, though.
The Bone Clocks by David Mitchell. I've never read his stuff before. It's weird but much more accessible than I expected. I'm enjoying it.
I have allergy issues, but I can usually keep them under control with OTC meds. I used to get a ton of sinus infections before I discovered Zyrtec. Our entire household is on antibiotics at the moment (sinus infection for me, double ear and sinus infection for DD, walking pneumonia for DH), and right now it feels like we're never going to get better.
I finished HP #6 last night and will be starting #7 today. I'm hoping to read it and four other books by the end of the year.
QOTW: *knocks on wood* I don't get sick often at all. I have allergies, but I can keep them under control for the most part if I take OTC meds and dust/vacuum at least once a week. Once a year or so I get a cold but that's it, and so far this year I haven't gotten sick at all *bangs really hard on all the wood*.
I recently started Fall of Hyperion by David Eddings. It's the 2nd book in the Hyperion series. But, I'm having trouble making much progress because I'm not letting myself read because I have so much work I need to do, which is why I'm here procrastinating by trying to bury my head in the sand.

I started The Fiery Cross (Outlander #5), but didn't seem to have the attention span for it. In the interest of meeting my year-end goal, I switched to One Plus One by JoJo Moyes, which is so far interesting.
QOTW: I happen to have a cold now, but I'm generally pretty healthy.

I'm reading Three Bags Full by Leonie Swann. I'm really enjoying it. But I kind of wish there were illustrations. I'd really like to see why the sheep look like when they're investigating things.
QOTW: I feel like I'm a generally healthy person, but then again I feel like I'm always stuffed up or congested. But it's only one or two times a year that I think I'm sick enough to go to the doctor.

The King's Curse - Phillipa Gregory. It's the story of Henry VIII, Catherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn told from the perspective of Margaret Pole, who served as governess to Princess Mary and was deeply devoted to Queen Catherine. It's ok, but definitely not my favorite book from this time period that I've read.
QOTW: I rarely get sick. Maybe one cold a year, sometimes none. Last year I went through a string of being sick with one bug after another, which I blamed on babysitting for my nieces. But this year I haven't been sick once. So I don't know what bad luck happened last year.

You mean Dan Simmons?
Fiction: Rereading Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy by John Le Carre and The Goblin Emperor by Katharine Addison, both of which I love.
Non-fiction-almost finished with A Good Spy, as I had put it down for several days.

Oops, yes.
I was recently looking at my list of recommended books and thinking about the Belgriad, which is in fact by David Eddings.
