I went through the waiting game with my grandpa as well, it was very hard. You want closure but at the same time miss and love the person. Hugs for you and your family.

So many hugs, mcc. The waiting is the worst because you know it's going to happen and you feel like you can't start to move forward until it's a reality. I'll be thinking of you. (heart)
So, so many hugs! Could she be waiting to see you to see goodbye?
I went through this with my Grandmother (last one, too) and the waiting game is so hard but I felt very strongly with mine that she fought it until she was ready. She waited until every last grandchild came to see her and she passed when my brother was finally there - she couldn't talk at that point but I believe strongly that she knew who was there and could hear those around her - I think she needed that closure and I have heard this happens often.
Probably not waiting until we get there, but tonight I called and told her that everything was ok and we were happy and doing well and it was ok. The Dr. suggested we call to tell her that it was ok to let go...my mom asked me to tell her to go meet Poppy but I drew the line there. No way.
Then my mom and I had a dark humorous conversation about how rude it is to bury people in bras and made her promise not to make my grandma wear one.
