I'm sure I"m not the only one who has a list and can't decide which one. I'm so type A and I wish I could decide!! My H and I have gone back and forth with several. Here is our list - leave a comment to vote on your favorites from my list, and also add your list for others to weigh in.
Ours is a boy. The short list, in no particular order, is...
I love Theodore! I really like Griffin, but I am not a huge fan of Griffing (I think a lot of people would be confused and think you were saying Griffin). I like both Silas and Alden. Indiana is a bit too far out of my comfort zone, but I tend to like relatively boring names.
The names we are deciding between are Jack Martin and Benjamin Martin. I actually prefer the name Ben, but I feel like this kid is supposed to be Jack. I don't think we're going to decide until we see him. Owen, Noah, Luke and Will are other names we considered.

I'm partial to Ben because it's my H's name and it's less common than Jack. I love Noah! We may end up waiting til we see him too at this rate. I love people weighing in!
Apparently we committed to a name today. We get a personalized ornament every year in December, and went today to get it. Somehow, without me realizing it, we personalized an ornament with the baby's name lol.

I love Theodore and left to my own devices I would choose that, but husband doesn't like it.
I think Edward is our boys name...also like Kevin and Dominic Girls we both like Elizabeth, I like Elisha, Danielle, Loralei...he likes Jessica, Lauren
So, tell me. How awful is the name Clementine for a girl? I realize it's on the unique end of the spectrum...
I think it's adorable! I read Fosterhood in NYC (a blog about fostering/adoption) and she named her daughter that she just adopted Clementine. It lends itself to a lot of nicknames though- Clem, Clemmy, etc. so if you don't want people shortening your kid's full name, it might not be the best to pick.

My oldest is a Benjamin and we waited to "meet" him before naming him.
The boy's name for this baby include the following:
Alexander Leonardo
William
Gregory
DH is really "stuck" on Leo and I'm stuck on Alex, I feel like he should be an Alex but we'll do the wait and see game. As my DH say's will take it up in the boardroom when the baby is born.
I LOVE Grifin! Such a great name. Also, Silas is cute too.
Our general plan is to narrow it down to two or three first names and then pick once we see what she/he looks like. Our middle names have been set since we got married.
rachelgreen Yeah, I'm not a fan of as many -den names either. And seeing you confuse my name (Alden) with "Aiden" makes me shudder. I hate the name Aiden and it will probably be confused a lot.
ewall I like Clementine. I think it's cute and girly. Unique but not hard to spell.
jennistarr1 My H isn't sold as much on Theodore either. I thought about Edward being my Teddy, but I don't like it as much as "Ed" without the nickname, though it is a family name! I may work on him more on the Theodore.
Right now Griffing is the front runner, but I am considering dropping the -g at the end to make it easier - though don't know since with the -g is the family name spelling.
achi we may have to wait to see him too, as much as I wish I just KNEW that's the only way to truly know!!
We are trying to decide on a middle name that starts with an R for aubrey ___ reg.el. We are leaning towards Rae, but I'm not totally sold on it. We have riley alex.ander reg.el for the boy

Renee Rebecca I like Rae, but I think something a little longer may flow better

What about Rose? I think it sounds so pretty with Aubrey.
My rule with names is I don't like anything spelled weird, where the kid would spend their whole lives having to spell their name.
I also think could a person with this name run a Fortune 500 company or be a judge.
I'm not a fan of names that are only cute for cute little kids.
I do like the name Griffin, Griffing sounds like a made up name that would constantly have to be corrected.
I don't like Clementine at all, I'm not trying to be mean, just honest. It's IMO a cutesy name that is cute for a 4 year old, not a 40 year old woman.
I agree with pretty much all of this! For me personally I would add I won't do a boy name on a girl either. I'm even iffy on the ones that have been girl names for a while (Vivian which I do like, Meredith, others). I think I'm bitter because I really like Riley and Avery on boys but feel like I can't use them because of how trendy and popular they've become for girls!

Renee is out because it is my sisters middle name. Rose may work too. I figured longer would make it worse, but I'll look at those too. Thanks!
nextbigthing lol, no worries. I realize it's a polarizing choice so I have some hesitation about it. Not a final choice, just the most unique one on the final list.
