It has been a rough morning. Stupid mondays. At least the year is quickly winding down and we have our big ultrasound on Friday! I'm so excited!
How were your weekends? Mine was really good, we actually got a ton of stuff done! Nothing too exciting, but crossed a lot of things off the list. Saturday we did a major clean of our bedroom/closet. It has been on the list for like 2 months. That felt great, we're donating a bunch to get rid of it and I finally packed away a bunch of clothes that I probably won't wear for a year (since it doesn't fit) and made space for my new maternity clothes. I was sadly living out of a bag on the floor for the past few weeks.
Sunday we hit Michael's which was having a really good sale and we managed to go from zero to done on Xmas shopping for our 10 nieces/nephews/friends kids we buy for. I was SO happy, I was really stressing about it since we hadn't started yet and in like 2 hours we finished and only spent $112! Total MM win. I'm wrapping tonight and if we ship by Wed we should be all set!
Now I just have to figure out what/if I'm getting DH!

Mine was super fun and exciting!
Had the in-laws come through for a whirlwind visit. FIL and MIL came over on Friday, we went to dinner and then I brought them over to my school for a tour of our new building. FIL is an architect and he wanted to see it.
Saturday morning FIL helped H with some small projects around the house. I went to the gym. MIL cleaned my kitchen and washed the windows. I wasn't sure if I should be a) excited that she cleaned or b) embarrassed that my house was so dirty she felt compelled to?
Then BIL, SIL & her husband came over. We all hung out for lunch and dinner, started drinking, then FIL & MIL left. Then the "kids" went out to a PVD Bruins came (minor league hockey team, they go from here to the Boston Bruins). We had great seats and a fun time. Went out bar hopping afterwards. Then BIL got a call that his uncle had extra Pats tickets for Sunday. GAME ON!!!
We woke up early on Sunday to try to get our shit together so we could go tailgate in Foxboro. We were too hung over, my camp stove was broken, etc etc. So we ended up heading into Foxboro just in time for the game. It was my first time to Pats game and we had so much fun!

Wow, sounds like an awesome weekend!
Note: I've never washed our windows. I always think about it in the spring but seems like way too much work. One of these days I need to buy a groupon to have it done!

Well she only washed the insides. But it was totally needed! I actually think she did it because one of the projects was that FIL was installing some heated bird bath thing off my garage. So this way I could see the birds out my kitchen window? I think.
Friday I went out for drinks with coworkers to celebrate the imminent closing of school for the semester.
Saturday I got some lunch from Wagamama and I know it's a chain, but I love their roasted duck ramen! Did a little Christmas shopping, spent more then I should have on outfits for my two youngest nieces at Gymboree and then made a turkey dinner. You heard that right, a straight up turkey dinner! H went out shopping one afternoon and came home with two 20+ lb frozen turkeys because (they were such an amazing deal!!!!). I cooked up one and had my nieces and family over. We also finally decorated the Christmas tree.
Sunday H had off and we finished decorating the house, he hung lights up outside and we did a quick run to the grocery store. I made some chili cause I've been craving it and I'm excited to have some for lunch today

I'm so sad it's Monday. Can I cry?
I spent the weekend with 18 other girls from the H&F board. I ran a half marathon and totally blew up and didn't make any of my goals but had a great time the rest of the weekend. We were down in Charleston/Kiawah Island, SC and it was gorgeous. I ate so much good food, drank so much good beer, and had an amazing time.
bostonmichelle & RockNVoll: actually, we found out the sex already! We're having a girl! I'm really excited! My SIL sent us the cutest little pink dress and it just makes me go awww....
I've been mostly freaking out and having a lot of anxiety about baby stuff. But over the weekend I was looking at pics for nursery inspriation and actually started to get excited. That's a good sign! Of course I also emailed some cneters for daycare prices and heard back today and it about killed me. The nice one in our town is $2K a month. Yikes.... I better start calling the in home daycares.

Somewhere I read (maybe MM or MMM) that Boston and Seattle are known for having some of the highest daycare costs. I am sure you will find a fabulous provider noodleoo.

This weekend was a little rough. We are having some growing pains living with mil. She has been fine but She is always home and it has been an adjustment for me to learn to live with her. I've been missing my NY friends and hating the clutter in this house. There is so much crap in the rooms we are staying in and it makes me anxious and want to throw it all away. We had the inspection on the house that will hopefully be ours and it went pretty well. Its quite old and had some expected issues so we will decide how to proceed tonight. We have our fingers crossed though. After seeing it again, I decided that I really like it!
