I am trying to pick out a leather crossbody bag as a gift to me for Christmas. I am looking in the price range of up to $400. I want something on the medium to large size, but not ridiculously large. I prefer less structured as this is a weekend/errands bag, not a work bag. I will do black or a neutral color.
I have the classic Q and I really like it. I also have a Marc by Marc Jacobs one that is nylon that I love because it's a little lighter and easy to clean.
aak0517 and greysgirl - do you find the strap on the Classic Q to be too thin/dig into your shoulder? That seems to be one of the improvements on the New Q. But the New Q is a bit smaller and I am looking for larger. I do like the look of the New Q.

It does if I put a ton of stuff in it but the strap is similar to most of my other cross body and shoulder bags, so it's not something specific to that bag. But if I'm wearing a crossbody to run around in and not carry my whole life in (like I normally do with my handbags) then it's fine
I have the Q and the only thing I don't like is the fact that it doesn't zipper. I have a KS Cobble Hill that is almost identical but it does. I think any crossbody tends to dig if you carry too much. My current bag is the Madewell Kensington which is now called the Glasgow and I am super happy with it. I have it in black but I love the cabernet and saddle.

I have this in Citron and I just really really love it! I love that it can be crossbody or sachel. It holds a ton! It also comes in lots of colors. Just not from Nordstrom apparently.

I have the classic Q & love everything about it. I've never had a complaint about the strap.
This is exactly me. I think the strap is fine. And the bag deceivingly holds a ton. Like- I can fit my DSLR camera in there plus other stuff if I have to!

I totally agree with this. It has room for my DSLR, my full size clutch wallet and my nook with room to spare.

I like that Marc Jacobs bag in the grey color but I am a big fan of the Rebecca Minkoff MAC and the MAC Daddy. I use them all the time to be handsfree with my kids or just out and about.

I have the small Q Percy with the thin straps. I carry a lot of stuff in my purse and leather purses have been tough on my shoulders especially since I have a small child I need to carry stuff for! I opted for a nylon crossbody when I got a bigger size and love it.
But between the Qs, I'd probably pick the one with the wider strap.
