Yahoo's fantasy football platform is pretty popular too. And a lot of the random listservs and stuff I'm on actually use yahoo groups. And I think for anybody who is stuck using IE as a browser it defaults to a yahoo search engine and you have to change it if you want google instead. (or maybe that was just my old job? Not sure.)
Given that yahoo does work fine I'd imagine there are tons of people who never change that.
Shocked that Yahoo is higher than Google. I haven't been on yahoo in forever.
I'm surprised people are so surprised. I feel like every year that yahoo and google switch spots there are multiple news stories about it.
Not picking on your mrshandy, obviously you aren't the only one.
My H had a yahoo e-mail address for years and I finally converted him to google when I told him I never got spam in my inbox.
It just seems odd. I mean google is the equivalent of searching for something. But yahoo does have a hold on fantasy football. I just find the website so confusing and busy. Google is so much cleaner.

But you have no expectation of privacy with gmail. Google itself said that in court filings. I used to have gmail, but I stopped using it.
I still have & use a yahoo email addy a ton. I'd guess i've had it since the mid 1990's?? Although I did notice a ton of really old emails were gone...
Yeah, Google may win search, but yahoo has a lot of other content that bring people in one way or another. Google has their own ecosystem, but it hasn't been around as long. Add in the oldz and people like Carl (basically luddites with smart phones), and I'm not surprised.
