I just paid $34 to return two pairs of boots to sellers that sold them on Amazon.com It was the cheapest shopping method! Next time I will read all the details before I hit the purchase button. Lesson learned
PS- I finally got my Old Navy swing dress and it looks awful on me

OMG I am right there with you on the outrageous shipping. I don't know why it is so much higher for ME than it is for retailers. If I pay about $10 in shipping when I buy from an online retailer, then turn around and ship that same item to someone else, suddenly shipping COSTS 3X as much!!! Same box, same weight, same shipping company. Drives me batty!

I just paid $15 to return a product that was advertised as being bigger than they were because the company would not send me a return label. I asked numerous times, they have updated their listing to reflect the correct size, but they said they have no way to do a return label. Now that it's done, and I had to call anyway because they shorted me money on the return, when I also asked for my return shipping to be refunded, I was told they would have sent me a return label and cannot refund shipping.... My reply was I have numerous emails with me asking for a return label and being told it's not possible, them admitting that their listing was inaccurate, pictures of the listing change, and that i did not just change my mind. The person said she would check with her supervisor and get back to me. That was yesterday. I sense I will have to call again.

Ugh! I almost had to end up doing this because I also didn't read the fine print (free return shipping if buying from Amazon, but not a 3rd party seller), but thankfully I complained since the box was all beat up and the boots didn't appear to be in new condition so they covered it for me. Lesson learned though!

Yeah, you're not getting a call back. I wouldn't have gotten off the phone until I spoke to the supervisor.

Wait, Amazon does do free return shipping if purchased from them? I thought I had to pay. I have two items I need to return but didn't want to pay the blue of the items in return shipping costs

It depends. Go in your account to start the return process. Sometimes they will give you a free return label.

I plan on calling back, and will escalate the situation until I get my refund. The website was Christmas Vacation Collectables, which is the Christmas Story House Museum in Cleveland website. I ordered some Moose mugs (national lampoons Christmas vacation) for a party and planned on using them as fun holiday glasses for years. Website said they hold about 6 oz. Filled to the top they held 4 oz. plus many of the mugs had defects.
I was so bummed. I have been asking for these for 3 years now and my husband bought them as a Christmas gift for me. I was so disappointed. I would have exchanged the damage mugs if they could actually hold a drink. The size made them not practical to hold a beverage.

I think they usually do for shoes, and maybe clothes?
