I did flavored water. I like water but I found if it had a taste I drank more of it and didnt crave anything else as much.
I quit successfully and then am back drinking way to much of it, repeat. Now I don't keep any in the house and occasionally swing by for a fountain from McDonalds or something. This drives my H crazy because it's cheaper to buy a 2 liter or something but I'd rather spend the $1 and have my fix and be done.
My way probably wouldn't work or you, but it s effective.
I got sick, and the IV antibiotics I was on intensified floors such that the acidity of soda turned it into vinegar in my mouth. It also (sadly) turned wine into vinegar. It turned anything mildly spicy into unbearable heat.
After 6 months, I drink it occasionally but nothing like I used to drink it.
