I've been temping the last week and my temps are all over the place. Every day. Am I just a mess? I do NOT understand how this is supposed to work. All the info I find online has these perfect charts showing consistent temps, then a rise and a drop. Mine are up and down every day. What gives?
Mine were always pretty over the place, but I could still see a shift. Maybe wait through one full cycle to see if you can see the shift?
I know I'm a total mouth breather, and I think that affects it. You can always try vaginal temping, but yeah, I'm not going to do that unless a doctor tells me to.
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.

Mine are pretty all over the place the first 10-15 days of my cycle. I usually level out a few days before O, and can see a shift after O. I would do a fully cycle and see if it becomes clearer with a little more info.
Mine are sometimes all over the place since I wear a top and bottom retainer at night and mouth breathe (so hot). I can still see a shift when I O even with the funky temps. Give it a few cycles (hopefully just one!) and it will start making sense.

if you haven't O'd yet, your temps will probably be all over. mine are up and down before and after O, but after a few months anticipating my temp shift and seeing the pattern was easy.
I switched to vaginal temps since I am a terrible mouth breather. It's really not that bad or weird. It's also very consistent as compared to the oral temps. If you don't see a clear pattern this cycle I would recommend switching.
My temps are also all over the place, having more to do with whether or not we remembered to turn the heat down before going to bed. It feels fairly pointless sometimes.
I agree with seeing how it all looks after one cycle. The key is just to see a pattern and a temp spike after O. Mine always looks a little odd until I'm a few days out from O and can see the jump.
