Ok, firstly I hate the term FWP, but that's exactly what this is. I needed to run to Whole Foods for six items. I circled for ten minutes and could not get a parking space! There was one, but some dude (I saw him, 20 something in a gym outfit) went the wrong way down the traffic pattern to get it. Ggrr. Then the baby started crying. So we just left.
I couldn't decide which SBUX to go to on the way to work - the walk-in store 30 seconds closer to my commute route or the drive-thru < quarter mile away.

I drove specifically to a certain outdoor shopping area on my lunch break so I could return something at Loft. Of course I get there, park, look in my bag only to discover I forgot the receipt at home. AGH i could have used that lunch break time to do something else!
My childless coworker wants to drop off a cookie tray tonight for me to put out for guests this weekend but my living room is a mess and I can't bend over to pick up from hurricane DD.
I had to debate long and hard as to which food truck I wanted lunch from today. Because one of them is so good, lines are so long, you really need to pre-order online so I had to decide early. The other has fried food. So it was a hard choice.
Msniq's bike got a flat tire, so I had to play rescue ranger this morning. The hardest part was folding the trailer and fitting it into my performance sedan, it made me think getting a Subaru or crossover might not be a bad idea.
My zazzle cards are STILL NOT HERE. It's been over a week and a half since they shipped...WTF?!!??!!
Mine came yesterday finally (UPS --> USPS transfer) (shipped 12/6). They look ok at least...I know some others had problems with printing. But I am massively underwhelmed with the shipping time. Even though they were CHEAP, I won't be using them again I don't think!

LAUGH IT UP, @this
DH drives a Subaru Crosstrek and we both love it! Just go for it!

I just saw an outback in the parking lot that looked like the one I gave up to get a freaking minivan. I teared up. I loved that car.
We are taking the kids to go see Santa on Saturday, as this is our first opportunity this December. I realized last night that I never asked my 4 year old what she wanted and there really isn't time to get her whatever she tells Santa. I would skip it, but I want a picture!
Do you think she'll notice if her wish to Santa goes unfulfilled?
That was awesome! Today is errand day and this morning was super busy therefore I was in my yoga pants! And I was planning on buying organic meat - ham, not chicken. Ummm, I feel rather yuppy right now!
The gas station attendant tried to shame me out of getting full service this morning. It is cold and snowing, my kids are cranky and I'm not quite sure how my gas tank opens. Just fill up my tank without a lecture on how much more expensive it is.

Hopefully yours will arrive today!
I hope so - I'm leaving town tomorrow. This is some Bull. Never again. I emailed a complaint. I'm sure they're inundated b/c every time I tried to call the number was busy.

hahaha! I once went to Whole Foods in my Prius, wearing yoga pants and Toms, and I felt like the biggest stereotype on earth.

I doubt she will notice. My kids don't necessarily get why they asked Santa for. Sometimes they get it from us. They don't care in the least because ... Presents!
DH got a bunch of stock for a Christmas bonus, along with a check. It's a bit disappointing that over 2/3rds of the bonus check was taken out for taxes (mostly because of the stock).

You can usually set up stock grants to "sell to cover". So, they will sell 28% or 30% or 33% or whatever of the stock grant and withhold the proceeds for taxes. Just make sure that the brokerage/H's employer reports the cost basis correctly.

Wait. You live in Seattle and don't drive a Subaru? So you must have a VW or Volvo then, right?

Well, when mom totaled her car, we replaced it with the Volvo wagon.

My monitor at work is too big. I'm short and no one can see me at my desk. This is usually a good thing, but I'm part time and WANT human interaction dammit!

But the Lexus hybrid SUV is also acceptable
The Lexus must be the Your Neighborhood answer; in West Seattle, the acceptable alternate option is the Toyota Highlander hybrid.
In all seriousness, we love our Subaru. We have the Outback, because at the time (2011) it seemed the slightly better choice for us than the Forester. Then they went and revamped the Forester, so now I prefer it. Still waiting for a Forester hybrid or diesel... they came out with the Crosstrek hybrid, but that's just a little too tight on cargo space for us.

Any option for an ergonomics assessment? Sounds like your desk and monitor are too high. Many companies now offer ergonomics options because the upfront cost of making a few adjustments is worth the savings in employees taking time off for appointments associated with pain, plus the higher associated healthcare costs. My company is finishing up switching everyone to pneumatically adjustable desks (they adjust from pretty low to standing height), fully articulated monitor arms, choice of three desk chair models, and then you can request keyboard/mouse trays, foot rests, etc. I am 5'2" and love how I can make everything fit me just right.

Isn't he talking himself out of a job? I wish we had full service around here.

catbus, hm, I don't know! They have everyone that wanted them standing desks, but I haven't heard of what you're mentioning. I should look into it, I definitely have neck and shoulder pinching.

Sometimes it's not really "advertised," but if you ask around you'll find out. Often it's HR that handles the requests if you don't have a dedicated facilities or occupational health group. Definitely worth asking! You should be able to just see over the top of your monitor--basically, see your work clearly without having to crane your neck upward or downward.

And this is possbily the one and only reason I love New Jersey. All gas is full service.
I bought my car in jab.... In oct I needed gas when in New York and realized it was the first time I had ever put gas in my new car myself.

Team Outback. I love ours!!!!! Our is a 2010 so I hope our next one can be a hybrid.
My brother sent M, H and I gift so now I need to scramble for a gift for them. It would have been a lot easier if they just ignored us like we were planning to do with them.

We just got our yearly gift from one of our outside counsel. I got a lame tea infuser and my male coworkers got bottles of Belvedere vodka. I am annoyed.
