I definitely don't care if people notice that I keep a very simple wardrobe. I think the average woman's closet/drawers/wardrobe is far too excessive for my taste.
We are trying to get to the bottom of my pee issues. I'm on day 5 of measuring my pee output. Gotta love peeing into a bucket at work!
But today was the day limiting fluid intake and caffeine!! I've had a headache since noon, and I'm so damn thirsty. I sip on something (diet coke or tea mostly) all day. This week has taught me I drink about 6-8oz an hour, but in small sips throughout the hour. Yes, I've peed less, but if this is the problem, I'll deal!
I'm completely unprepared for any sort of emergency. We lost power in a small storm last week for a few hours and I almost had a meltdown. I was trying to work but I hadn't charged my phones, I couldn't get any websites to work even though I had 4G, and while I had stocked up on food so I wouldn't have to go outside I realized it would all go bad.
The last few years, DH and I have just agreed on a joint gift, usually for the house, for Christmas. Last year, we replaced the surround sound system, and it was awesome. Earlier this year, we renovated the two extra extra bedrooms. One is a guest bedroom, and the other is basically a music room for DH to play his guitars. We have an elliptical which was supposed to go in the "music" room, but DH didn't want to give up the room it would have taken, so he put it in the guest bedroom. We bought a TV to put in the bedroom, and the crappy TV was supposed to go in the music room with the elliptical, but DH decided he wanted the new TV in his music room, so the crappy TV is in the bedroom with the elliptical, neither of which are where I thought we had agreed on. MIL and FIL came to visit in November, and DH was embarrassed by the crappy TV that was in there. I came up with the idea to replace that TV and buy new Blue-ray players for the two back rooms, as our joint Christmas gift, and DH agreed that it sounded like a good idea. But now that I think about it, I'm not happy with that idea. The "music" room was supposed to be something that both of us could use, but DH totally took it over with his guitars and Navy memorabilia, and there is pretty much nothing of mine in there. I guess the new blue-ray player will benefit me when I use the elliptical or sleep on the extra bed. But, the new crap in the "music" room totally benefits DH. But, I guess since I'm unemployed, and therefore dependent on DH, I don't get to have an opinion.

What? No. This is absolutely incorrect and not okay at ALL. Please speak up for yourself.
After 7 years of making H a stocking and getting nothing in return, I finally told him it would be nice if he could make me one. And he actually went shopping and got stuff. I am excited, and only feel a little bit bad.
My flameful is I'm judging you for waiting 7 years to speak up. :-P
Last year DH didn't fill my stocking but handed me a gc to a local froyo shop we frequent, even after I had hinted and given suggestions for ideas. I told him this year I wanted stocking stuffers (even if it's the dollar store candy) and he's made it happen.
I can't get worked up over a stocking.. Maybe it's because I pretty much fill my own. No sad feelings and I get what I want. Win-win!
