These donuts: which some of my masters swimmers brought me last night for Christmas. They brought them all the way from the east coast, because the CA entenmann's bakery doesn't make them. They're my absolute favorite non-bakery donut. Like, I was so excited about them you could have gifted me a new car and I'd have been like 'meh." These swimmers are the best people ever to remember my enthusiasm about them and sadness that the west coast bakery doesn't make them. (They're not even in the mixed box.)

Also, this version of the nutcracker/sugar plum fairy. Probably my favorite choreography for this piece and she dances it perfectly (because it's the bolshoi, duh):

Annnnd because I can't apparently put all my happiness in one post:
See that box? It's R's birthday present - a bike trainer. It's so big, I couldn't wrap it with normal wrapping paper (it's something like 20" wide and 12" tall and 35" across), so I had to root around in my fabric stash for something that would cover it. That's 2.5 yards of upholstery fabric, and it still wasn't quite wide enough to cover the box, so I had to carefully arrange the fabric from the knot to cover all open box space. LOLOLOL It makes me chuckle just looking at it.
This chocolate bar that I won at our office holiday party. I don't usually like orange zest but this is SO GOOD that I have eaten almost half the bar today when I can usually restrain myself to just 2 squares of chocolate.

I LOVE them too!!! I like the regular crumb ones too. Let me know if you ever need me to send you a box (or two!)

finally I may take you up on that at some point. Those dang donuts are my absolute favorite. I nearly died of happiness last night when I found them on my porch.
bunnies, she is possibly my favorite maria out of any. Her technique is flawless and she seems to be genuinely enjoying herself. It makes me so angry when female dancers take on complicated choreography and let the little things slide (like not getting square onto the toe, my biggest pet peeve with the principals from SF ballet)
