Friday Randoms/Weekend Plans/Whatevers

Hey all!  What's going on this Friday for you?  What's on tap for the weekend? 

My progesterone arrived by mail, and I can't decide if it makes me a crazy person to be taking it (post-O) before I've done testing, but it can't hurt, right?  The RE's office called me back and has put in an order for bloodwork and an HSG (and an SA for H), but it won't start until next cycle, so I'm giving it my all this cycle. 

This weekend, I'm going to do a long run tomorrow on some muddy trails, then we'll do Christmas with my family on Sunday.

i'm hoping to get some wrapping done, so i don't end up like i usually do sitting on the floor for 2 1/2 hours wrapping EVERYTHING on christmas eve eve, lol.

callmehales I've been trying to do a little each night, but it seems neverending! That and, um, I keep buying stuff online, so I have a neverending stream of stuff TO wrap.

Nope, it won't hurt you, only help if you have low progesterone / short LP.  I've taken it orally and vaginally, obviously one is more pleasant than the other.

Thank you!  I had spotting with the two pregnancies this year, and my OB basically said 'why not,' while I'm waiting for testing.  She did direct me to take it vaginally, so that sounds like a lot of fun!  A friend warned me to use liners.

I read it, it got linked over on TTTC too.  I can't believe she can't see it from their point of view and find a time to announce without ruining her brother/SIL's holiday.  Not to mention how awkward it would make it for everyone there, who clearly would know how the brother/SIL were feeling, even if they didn't voice it themselves.

Yeah, it keeps coming out the whole rest of the day.    My OB said to take it in the morning, though, because moving around during the day helps it get absorbed better.  Hope it does the trick for you!

The post AutumnRose linked where she said something to the effect that she 'lost her shit' when she found out that people who started TTC before she did were pregnant pretty much sums up my experience with her on this board.  Calm your tits, lady.

Yeah I have no problem saying I've never been a fan of hers. I forgot why until I saw that post and was like oh yeah, that's why.

I'm spending my Friday getting things finished up for Christmas because DH and I are taking a trip to New Orleans, leaving tomorrow and coming back Tuesday. I'm super excited to eat everything and I think it will be beautiful this time of year!

Have a great time in NOLA!  Have you been before?  We just went for the first time this past March, and had such a fabulous time.  Our absolute favorite spot was Three Muses.  Great handmade cocktails, awesome small plates of food, and live music.

We have been, we usually go at least once or twice a year, but we've never been for Christmas so it will be something new!  Love Three Muses!

I saw the start of that thread on GoP last night. Even though we've only been TTC for 6 cycles I would be hurt if a family member announced that way at Christmas. I can't imagine how her BIL and SIL would feel after TTTC. Her idea is cute but can be done one-on-one with the grandparents and she can find a way to tell BIL/SIL without blindsiding them. Just thinking about how they would feel is making me ragey towards Achi. 

Today is my normal day off so I'm just taking it easy. I went for a quick 20 minute massage earlier because I've had a terrible kink in my neck for 2 weeks. He found the spot and it hurt like hell. I can turn my head now, so yay! I'm going to spend the rest of the day doing laundry and straightening up. MIL and SIL should be coming over tomorrow afternoon to play board games so I need to at least vacuum. Tonight we're going to a friend's house to play games and hang out. It should be a fun evening. I need it to take my mind off the 2WW. I'm only 5 DPO and cramping like AF will be here any moment. Fingers crossed it's good cramping but we'll see.

I am just catching up after a busy work day but I am not at all shocked that she is causing drama. Not at all.

We are headed to NY this weekend for Xmas with my dad and his family. I am not looking forward to tonight's drive or going in general. Yay family obligation!

Today is my family's Christmas, which will be "delightful" to say the least. However, tomorrow we're going to my favorite a capella group's concert!! Super excited!
