... To make it home for the wedding.

My works out of town and he is working in a very remote area where flights out are by a small private plane and it can't fly in bad weather.

My brother is devastated, and I can't stop crying. My dad is my brothers best friend and he doesn't want to get married without my dad here.

I'm currently trying to track down a video camera so we can tape it. The only communication we have with him is by a satellite phone as there are no cell towers/Internet where he is.

No he's working in the Baffin Islands. (Think almost the North Pole, surrounded by water.)

If he can make it out of there he is going to rent a car and drive until he gets home. We are able to delay the ceremony by an hour if needed. (Hopefully he can at least fly into Edmonton or Calgary, 8-9hr drive from here.)

OMG OMG OMG my dad made it off the island and his flight lands here tomorrow at 7am!!!!!! (Now he is flying with air canada so there is a 99% chance this won't change)

I am now crying all over again. My mom and brother are both over the moon. My mom went to bed as soon as she heard the news, because she hasn't slept since she heard he wasn't coming home. (This was on Wednesday)

I can't believe it. I am so excited!
