We usually go to Montreal in November, and Boston in December.
Sometimes we do quick overnight trips to Philadelphia (or just a day trip) or Atlantic City.
We may do a trip in the spring to DC, or as I keep telling MH we should go to Maine at some point because I haven't seen my grandma in almost 2 years. We can drive to either place ... DC is about 4 and my grandma's town in Maine is 9, but flying and then renting a car and driving for hours would be a huge PITA so it really works out better to just drive the whole way.
If we want to fly for a spring break trip, maybe New Orleans.
If we can swing a really big trip next year ... Belgium?
The Rock Boat cruise + FL keys in Jan. Some IL planned crap for their milestone anniversary. I guess 50th? All the kids and family are going somewhere, but they won't tell us when or where. yay?
Nowhere. Stupid husband at his stupid new job that does accumulative vacation time instead of 2 weeks automatically getting in the way of our planed Disney cruise and/or NOLA vacation.
ETA: I lied. Apparently, the Great Smokey Mountain National Park is just a couple hours away from me. I foresee a number of weekend camping trips up there.
Probably Colorado this summer and maybe London in the fall? We are taking advantage of the merger and supposedly all our frequent flier miles will be combined and will means free round trip tickets to Europe!
In April DD and I are going to Cleveland to see my parents. In May all three of us are going to Disneyworld. The week before Labor Day we're going to Cape Cod with my parents and brother for my parents 50th anniversary. In December we're going to Portland for my cousin's bat mitzvah. Hopefully we'll also take a couple of weekend trips to Philly and maybe Boston.
Skiing in Vail in February WDW + Disney cruise in March NYC in June CO in June/July (family wedding plus a few days vacation) DC for Thanksgiving
All of the above involves our kids. I cannot stomach the idea of any more than five round trip flights with them over the next year, but we may take a weekend driving trip or two. I would also like to squeeze in a long weekend away alone with H, but I don't know when or where yet.
-New Years ski trip to big sky, MT -a week ski trip to two areas in BC Canada in Feb -week in glacier national park in August -2 weeks in Vietnam around Thanksgiving.
And hopefully a weekend in Napa, DC, and Albuquerque. I'm excited for all of it!! Now to figure out how to try and fit that all into my PTO time
London for New Years CT for a wedding in June Finger Lakes in early August I'm sure a trip to VA to visit friends in the Spring Maybe a long weekend in Boston or VT in the fall Then it depends where MH has to go for work - sometimes I will tag along if it's somewhere interesting
It's kind of up in the air right now. We had everything planned out but now we have a couple factors that might change plans; brother got engaged and plans on doing a destination wedding. Also I am in the late stages of interviewing for a position that if I get would change our plans as well due to the training schedule.
The original plans were:
Cabo in April for my 30th 2 week British Isles trip (England, Ireland, Scotland) in August or September Undecided weekend trip to somewhere is the US
For the first time we have nothing planned except for New Years yet which is nice because I can just browse your responses and steal some ideas
-San Diego for NYE but that's up in the air too -Trip to Utah to ski in February(?) -Possibly trip to Florida in March -Portland -Trip to see the Grand Canyon and Zion
We're going to a wedding in New Orleans in March. We might drive there and stop some places along the way.
Maybe a trip to Marquette, Michigan, with my college BFF (we went to school there) and a BFF from a later period in my life - they know each other through me, and it would be AMAZING to go back to where I met BFF #1, hang out with them both for days in a row, and it's so beautiful in the summer.
My family is throwing around the idea of another family trip (parents, sisters, SOs) in November. Maybe to Puerto Vallerta, though I'm hesitant on that because I went there for my honeymoon - even the same resort (vacation club). I didn't really even like the resort and I feel like that's just weird.
I'm torn on even going on the family trip, because I really want to go somewhere I haven't been and explore. Not sure if that's going to be financially feasible. I am pretty sure we can't do both the family trip AND a trip like that, and the family trip would likely be cheaper (plus, I love my family) but I don't want the bulk of my travel to be repeat visits to the same places all the time.
My family-sister, nieces and us-even the cats, are all going to visit my parents in Florida over spring break. We've all never been there at the same time. We are all very excited and we will be celebrating my 45th birthday(late) but at one of my favorite places there, all together.
Unfortunately, I think the rest of our vacation will be spent dealing with FIL stuff in Michigan. We've lost 2 years of vacations and it makes me sad

Iceland in March, either a combo Las Vegas/ Grand Canyon trip or a cruise with the kids over the summer, KY at some point to visit family... I think that's all that we have planned so far.
Planning for Paris - Bruge - Amsterdam in May. We've been planning a variation of this trip forever but have put it off due to income/job situations. So I'm tired of waiting but it will need to be somewhat MM so recommendations welcome.

Nothing els planned yet.
Jealous! I was supposed to go to Bruge a few years ago when I was staying in Brussels for work, but it poured rain and I came down with a really bad cold that left me stuck in the hotel. I've always regretted not being able to go.

H and I had the same issue for a few years. Eventually, we decided that if family wants to see us they should come and see us occasionally. I hated the idea of driving 12 hours to spend time with family when no one else made an effort to see us the rest of the year. I'd say 95% of the time we're happy that we don't go back as much any more.
