Over six hours later and we are finally home. We stopped at a 24-hour diner on our way home around midnight for a very late supper and he wolfed down eggs, bacon, and a giant stack of pancakes with butter, maple syrup, strawberries and whipped cream. He's now sleeping it off (I'll let you decide whether the "it" in that sentence is referencing the medication or the food, lol.) He's going to be just fine.
I'm so tired that I'm starting to feel like I'm in a box of haze.

I'll be attending a quinceanera/sweet 16 tonight, where about 80 of the guests will be teenagers. Help me. i should probably premptively take some aspirin, right?
I got online to schedule a brewery tour for next saturday... and they're booked solid for the next couple of weeks. wth.
All of the breweries? Do you think showing cleavage will help?
Just for New Belgium. Considering that the tour is a bunch of self-congratulatory crap, I think it's ok to skip. They give out the free beer regardless of if you go on the tour or not.
I planned a girls night out tonight to celebrate my 40th and invited a very specific group of women. One of them has gone from trying to bring her new boyfriend along (which I found out about through the others and headed off), and now she's texting me that she invited a new friend along.
I needed time to formulate a response that didn't incorporate a WTF tone.
She sounds like a peach. What was your response?
I compromised by saying I'd rather keep dinner to just the group I invited, but extra friends could join us for drinks afterward. She wound up coming on her own to dinner and then leaving before drinks.

pixy0stix would you be a dear & cheer for the Raiders again? While cursing at sporting events with my bestie is one of my favorite pastimes, freaking out with her when our tream wins is higher on the list.

I'll mail it when the post office stops being insane. Pinky swear!
I'm pretty sure the last month or so has lead up to the nervous breakdown I pretty much feel like I'm in the middle of right now. I'm also not sure my marriage will survive it.

I need to do some wrapping today, as well as finish Christmas cards. Then we'll be going to Disneyland this evening for some Christmas cheer.
Tuesday we'll be driving to my parent's house for Christmas. I'm a selfish hosebeast because I'd rather stay home and celebrate Christmas just the two of us (and our dogs). But my dad, while in terrific health, isn't exactly young, so I feel like we owe it to my parents to spend more holidays with them. I'll also be seeing my sister, and while I love her, I still haven't gotten over some things she said during our last family gtg. We were all under a ton of stress at the time, so logically I understand why she said what she said and that she didn't mean to be cruel, but I'm still so hurt. Ugh, family.
Are you medicated for anxiety? If not, what do you think about seeing your doctor, possibly Mon or Tues, or the week after Christmas to see if you can get a script for anti-anxiety meds such as Xanax?

Stopstaring, I know you don't "know" me, but I'd be happy to PM you my email if you ever need to talk. I've been there, and it got so bad that I ended up going inpatient in August. Please know I'm thinking of you
we had a good but busy day yesterday. Then I was up until 530 am with my son. I think he has the flu. He is generally miserable with high fever. A friend of our family's healthy teenager daughter died from the flu last yr so, now I am trying to stay rational.
i myself have been sick for a month with cough. Just now starting to feel somewhat better. But I have discovered I have stress incontinence with coughing so, a month of this is just uh not good.
i am praying for a healthy Christmas for the whole family.

That job I applied for in Milwaukee? I got rejected for it three days after I applied. Why? Because I don't have the skill set they're looking for. Even thought I've done THAT EXACT JOB before. The fuck?
We had friends over tonight to watch a terrible movie. We ate pancakes on the fancy China.
Then our pseudo-intellectual friend had some deep conversation that left H feeling like he's a terrible person.
H then made us watch a YouTube video of one of the most beautiful, depressing songs I know. So merry fucking Christmas?
Went to dinner at RPM steak with my parents for their 40th anniversary, and Guiliana and Bill were sitting 2 tables away from us. They were taking selfies and being super cute.
Despite being a steak restaurant (my dad chose it and made the reservation), they were super accommodating and the chef made me a vegan meal, and we got some amazing lime cotton candy (also vegan) on the house!
