Pretty much all set. I just remembered I needed one more gift card. But other than that all other gifts are wrapped. I'll get that tomorrow while picking up a few groceries. DH is off all week so he will attend to the little cleaning we need to do because the cleaners are coming Tuesday and will do 90% of the cleaning. He will also go get groceries that day and make the sauce and meatballs. Wednesday we will prep the chicken parm probably and that's about it. I swear I'm missing something tho. We are hosting but everyone brings a dish. This seems too easy.
I am pretty much done. I placed a large Amazon order on Cyber Monday for the majority of the kids' gifts. I have a few toys for my nephew. The Shutterfly calendars for my mom and MIL came on Friday. Everything is wrapped and hidden in my dad's boat. I do still need to buy Kinetic Sand for DS1 because I completely forgot.
Uh, Christmas? Right... That's happening. We're mentally in pre-move condition, so my brain keeps bouncing away from thoughts on Christmas.
I ordered the last of the gifts a few days ago, for delivery to the recipients' parents. DH's stocking stuffers (and mine) are all bought. My last Christmas knitting is nearly complete. The Christmas slippers for my family were sent off weeks ago, and have arrived safely at my sister's home, ready to be given out when the family gathers there.
We're going to be spending much of the day with friends, so we don't have to worry much about food, except for the few things we'll be bringing, all of which are now in our possession.
Next up: getting ready for the first moving crew. They come the day after Christmas.
Everything is pretty much done. I have a few small odds and ends to pick up, like a big gift bag for my mom's gift, ribbon to match one roll of gift wrap, etc. I'll probably go to Target super early Monday morning and pick those up.
The only thing I haven't done is consider if I want to make any treats. I don't really feel like baking, but I could turn out a batch of truffles or buckeyes pretty easily. Maybe I'll do a half recipe of each. Hmm. I'd also like to attempt making fudge this year if I have time. It seems fairly easy and fast, and I love it.
Shopping is DONE, including stockings. Where the fuck are my calendars Shutterfly?! Been sitting in California for 4 days! Decorations are all up.
I'm wrapping the PILE of presents tomorrow, while DH takes DS to Home Depot, lunch, and hot cocoa at SBux. Grocery shopping for Christmas dinner on Monday. MAYBE a Target run on Tuesday to see if there's any good Xmas stuff on clearance.
(Yes I'm quoting myself). Well fuck. That's what I get for being smug. We orchestrated this ENTIRE WEEKEND to give me time to wrap presents tomorrow. DH worked hard all day today so he would have tomorrow free to take DS while I wrapped. I just realized I didn't buy any wrapping paper. The closest store is an hour round trip, at least half of my wrapping time. DAMMIT.
All gifts are bought and wrapped and under the tree!
My mom sent a package of American Girl stuff and my mailman locked it into the big locker at our mailbox. Well I couldn't get it open, and left a note for the mailman, hopefully he can get it open in the next 2 days!!
I am hoping to make it out to the Tommy Bahama store to pick up a sweater for DH. He surprised me and bought me a bunch of stuff while we were out shopping last week, so I want to get him a little something extra.

Waiting for a few more things to arrive. Everything I have is wrapped. I'm kicking myself for missing the Discover wrapping promo on Amazon, would have saved some time.
I completely slacked on getting Christmas cards sent out, since they are photo cards I cheated and uploaded my address book to Shutterfly to address the cards.
Need to go to Costco/Wegmans and a few last minute small gift store things on Monday.

Now I'm OK. Yesterday morning not so much. In the last 24 hours I gave up on finishing the knitting, wrapped the rest of the gifts that are here, wrote the last few cards, put up and decorated the tree, finished cleaning, hosted a party, and half cleaned after that.
I might add a few odds and ends to gifts and I have a bit more cleaning to do after the party. I need to run out to fed ex one package but that's it.

I have to pack our clothes and cold weather gear, wrap some presents, and then brave a 4+ hour car trip with the kids tomorrow morning. Hopefully it won't be bad, but its been awhile since we did a car trip. Then I don't have to do anything for 5 whole days. We are going to a hotel/resort where everything is taken care of. I have a spa appointment booked and there is an indoor swimming pool. They have a nature walk and boat cruise planned. I can't wait!
I have some shopping done, but need to do more. I'm off tomorrow so I will shop and wrap then. I don't buy for too many, but I need to finish up a little bit more and grab some stocking stuffers.
Will go grocery shopping tonight after DD is in bed. Hopefully the crowds will have simmered down by then. Then all I will have left is to pick up my seafood on Christmas eve, which I ordered yesterday. Will do my cooking prep on Tuesday while DH takes DD on a last minute shopping spree. I think he will regret it but I will sit smugly in the corner with "I told you we should have sent her to daycare so you could actually be productive" face.
Of the gifts I already have in my possession, I have to wrap all of DH's presents, 2 of my dad's, 2 of my mom's, one each for my aunt, my cousin, MIL, and DH's aunt. If I can't get DH to wrap all but his this afternoon, I might be able to get my mom to wrap all but hers tomorrow when she watches DD, lol. Otherwise it's going to be "you get a gift bag, you get a gift bag!" at the Spunkys. I have to go grocery shopping for Christmas morning brunch. I will do that Tuesday bc I don't work that day. I am going to make my list tonight or tomorrow if I have a lull at work. I have to make cookies for my dad and a pie for DH's aunt. I'm hoping I can do the cookies tonight and the pie Tuesday night. I still have to get a GC for my cousin. Gifts for 2 of DH's cousins, a gift for DH's uncle, and 2 gifts for my mom haven't come yet and won't until Christmas Eve. DH is in charge of the gift for DD's godfather and it's on it's way but we won't see him until NYE. And, as I've posted before, our Christmas cards still haven't arrived!!! If they come tomorrow, I have to get them all addressed on Monday night so they can be postmarked Tuesday and hopefully arrive for most of our local friends and family on Wednesday.
Yet here I sit on my couch watching football... and a sleeping DD.
We hauled our asses out of bed and to the grocery stores (went to two, spent $300) this morning at 7am, so shopping is DONE. I wonder what we forgot. We still have to pick-up the Honeybaked Ham on Tuesday in San Antonio.

You sound like me...I usually end up with some sort of road block. Hope you got done!

Oh gawd, this sounds AWFUL. Ugh. I will be thinking of you, it sounds like you've got a lot of things changing in your lives. Wishing you guys all the best.

It's, erm, a wee bit stressful. We also found out today that apparently they first round of movers realized today when they went to confirm dates with DH that the day they had scheduled is *gasp* a _holiday_. So, they might be coming the day before Christmas, now. We'll find out tomorrow when DH talks to the office manager at that company about how the heck they scheduled us for a holiday (we thought it strange they could pack on the 26th, but didn't question it when they said they could... oops).
Tonight we'll make the sauce for the manicotti Tomorrow night we'll make the Chicken Marsala, the oreo cookie truffles and the fudge Wednesday morning I'll make the cheese cakes and them mom will come over and we can make the manicotti. When H gets home, he'll make the sausage and peppers Then it's time to clean, clean clean. We have 25 people coming at 6pm Christmas Eve.
Christmas Day, all we'll have to do food wise is make the risotto, put together the antipasto and heat up the marsala and manicotti.
I am so excited, I'm like a little kid. I love Christmas.

All of our gifts are bought and wrapped. I've done general grocery shopping for the week. Last night I decided on our Christmas morning and Christmas dinner menus, so I will finalize my shopping list tonight and go first thing tomorrow morning. I still need to vacuum. I guess that's it?
I wrapped last night which was a relief. I still need a few gifts yet (DH picked one up today for me, the other involves a shopping cart at the liquor store lol) and a few more stocking stuffers.
