I will officially be divorced Jan 12th!! It's a Christmas miracle!! My lawyer just mailed me a letter saying that stbxh's lawyer dropped him and since he's in jail, he won't make the court date and the judge will enter a default in my favor. I have to gather a bunch of documents showing everything was in my name and daycare costs, bank statements, credit cards that we had jointly, and all documentation of him violating the restraining order. BOOYAH MOTHERFUCKER!

i filed my default the end of Nov ... earliest i can be done w/ stbxh is 3/09 if they go by the petition filing date or 3/17 (6m+1d from date he was personally served w/ petition).

GL ! hopefully he won' ask the judge for a continuance on his own (pro per) since he's incarcerated. not unheard of and given that he's an addict in jail, he might not give a cr@p ... and let it go.

Honestly, I don't think he's smart enough to do that on his own. My lawyer seems to think this is it. I reeeeeealllllly hope so!

mine's not either ... why i skipped a lawyer to begin w/ (I'm a paralegal so I've got plenty of attys to look over my stuff)
