I'm going to be immature about Xmas gifts

About two months ago, I saw a pretty ring that I liked and I took a picture of it and got the jeweler' business card.

I showed it to DH and told him that it would make a nice present *hint*hint* It was being clearanced out, so the price was very reasonable.

a week later DH gave me the ring. I was really surprised but I didn't think it was a Christmas present since he gave it to me well before Thanksgiving. He didn't say it was my Christmas present.

Tonight I asked him if we were exchanging our gifts here together or if we were dragging everything with us down to our daughter's house.

He stopped in his tracks and said, "What do you mean? I already gave you your gift a long time ago."

I seriously blanked out and said, "What are you talking about? You haven't gotten anything off my Amazon wish list (which I emailed him and talked to him about)"

Then he said that my ring was my Christmas present.

Whaaat?

How can a gift that was given in early November be considered a Christmas gift? 

Im really upset that I'm not going to have any gifts from him. Also, the amount of money he spent on the ring was much lower than what we would normally spend on each other for Christmas, that's why I never considered it my Christmas gift.

I feel kinda childish for being like this, but I can't help how I feel.  Also, DH said, "Well, this isn't good. I can see the look of disappointment on your face."

I had a nightmarish week at work trying to get everything done before I left for the holidays. I'm getting NO sleep whatsoever and my fucking eye twitch is back. I just went into the bathroom and cried, which I know is a total overreaction.

I don't mean to make him feel bad about it, but I am disappointed.

I totally would have cried. I love Christmas, and it's not even about getting an expensive gift, it's about the holiday and bring part of the gift exchange rather than sitting on the sidelines. I'm sorry you're disappointed, His. He should have waited and surprised you.

We're leaving OOT on Monday, so there's no time to order anything from Amazon and we packing and getting the house ready tomorrow which will be an all day deal.
