I watched The Holiday last night and I love it so much! Kate Winslet is one of my favorites and I want to do bad things to Jude Law.
I adore Kate Winslet and agree with you on Jude Law, at least in this movie.
Theo keeps waking at 5 here (I'm at my parents) and it's so not cool. He normally sleeps until 7:30/8 so he's exhausted. He's also only napping an hour instead of his usual 2-3 hours. I've been putting the kids down early so that at least get a little more sleep, but last night H and my mom overruled me and put them down late saying that they would sleep late. Well, now H is downstairs with the boys and I'm sure they woke my mom going down. Let's see if they argue with my schedule tonight :-P

Christmas celebration #1 was last night, and it went great. The girls got some new Elsa gear...light up dress, microphone, magic snow globe wand, and accessories. They'll be pretty busy today, however, I may go crazy listening to "Let it Go" all day.
I have to go grocery shopping in a few minutes, and I'm clearly stalling.
We're taking the girls to dinner tonight, and then to the Festival of Lights. I'm super excited that I don't have to cook tonight.
I've been sick for more than a week. This cold, although it's significantly better, is kicking my ass.
betsyray, I will never understand people with the idea to keep them up late to get them to sleep. It works opposite of that!
H is taking Owen Christmas shopping this afternoon and I intend on getting Festive Specials for dinner tonight (my fellow Canadians will know what talking about).
I hope everyone feels better! J actually let us sleep in until 6:30. It's a miracle! Nothing much today, celebrating my 'little' brother's 40th birthday tonight. I am soooooo old!

Paha. Mom is always right! Maggie was this same way and I used to argue with people about it. Sleep begets sleep was SO true in our house.

Last night, I won a box of those hazelnut chocolates in the gold wrappers. My ils were over when I got home and now there are 2 left. I haven't had one. V woke up asking for chocolate and when I said she had to eat something else, mh was all, "she can't have one?"

Swiss Chalet!!! I actually haven't had it in a few years.
Taking Madison to watch my nephew play hockey this morning. She loves it and spends the whole time cheering for my nephew whether he is on the ice or not or if it's his team doing well. It's pretty cute.
I just saw a story that LL Bean duck boots are so popular there's a 100,000 back order for them. I have a pair I rarely wear. Maybe I should sell them on eBay...

The kids and I just got home from visiting family last night, I wisked R out of his room when he woke to let C get more sleep. Then promptly gave him to DH and said yours for the day! Traveling alone with kids is so hard I need a break, at least from the youngest.
My sister wrote back that she wants to know what terrible thing she did to me 6 years ago that add me cut her out of my life. You've got to be kidding me..... She is so ridiculous. She blew me off. Ugh... Here we go...

Do it. And then get a pair of almost identical Sorels. They're better in the snow anyway:)

I might. I think I've worn my duck boots 5 times.
Or maybe I'll wear them to fit in with the cool kids!

I'm sorry. You're going to let her know how you're feeling and what caused it, though, right? If it were me, I'd lay it all out on the line. Good luck and huge hugs.

I am, it just stinks because she can't see my point of view at all. I called her last (Adam was 3 weeks old)and told her where I'd be if she wanted to meet her nephew and she never called or showed up. It broke my heart, but yet she claims she has no idea what happened 6 years ago.
I wish I had a functional family, it kills me that the 4 of is are so ........ I don't know...... Not on the same page at all. There is no harmony. It blows.
Omg I'm so excited. DH is taking J out for a couple of hours so I can have some time off. I'm desperate for it because j has been a monster this week. I plan on watching Christmas Vacation while wrapping presents and drinking HOT coffee.
On a happier note, I'm looking forward to a Christmas gathering at SILs house later, and then hopefully just Nolan and I will do some shopping at Target.
MH's Christmas party for work is tonight. It is child free, so I have to stay home with A. I'm kind of annoyed that this applies to him, as he is a company partner. But I also know it would be me chasing him around all night which doesn't sound fun at all.

I totally get that. This year even more of the dysfunctional family is coming. Good luck and hugs.
I'm sorry to hear so many of you and your kiddos are sick. I hope they get better soon!
I am going to get a mani/pedi and Starbucks with my friend today at noon. I cannot wait! Maybe I'll take a risk and do a statement nail, which I never ever do. Living on the edge, I tell you.

musiclover, I don't want you to take this the wrong way because I understand that your sister hurt you, but I think you need to write back (or call her) and simply say "I love you. You are my sister." You do love her and you shouldn't miss any more time with her. If it were me, I would just apologize for the time lost, hug it out, cry, and then move on.
