Rough night here. DS1 was up, coughing and puking. I took him outside to sit on the porch at about 4am in case the cold air helped. It didn't. It was nice to just sit and enjoy the stillness with him, though. Is that weird?

Not weird , @wiilisaurus. Sorry you had a rough night. We are flying to my mom's for Christmas today. I'm very excited. They just moved to FL last year so WARMTH! And it's DS 's first Xmas ,so yay! I hope the flight goes well. He's at a much squirmiest stage than last time we flew.

DD2 was up multiple times. I have absolutely no idea what was wrong, Teeth?? She just kept screaming. Now we have to wake up and get to swim school by 9. Both kids are still sleeping. Ugh.

My 2 weeks of vacation will be spent trying to train my 8 month old that waking up at 4 am and sleeping on one of us is no longer an option. I believe she has slept in her crib past 5 am twice in the past 2 months and I'm at my wits end. I get mad when I see people complain that their kid woke up early.....7 am. I wish.
I just got back from a run, I stopped at 4 instead of 6 because I still have a cold. It takes 3 miles for me to clear my head/lungs/throat-I learned this this morning.
I'm all emotional today because exactly 3 years ago I was in labor with DS. This year is hitting me harder than last year since DH is now adamantly back in the OAD camp. I'm hoping DS is a bit easier to deal with today-yesterday afternoon was rough.
Given that DS' birthday is tomorrow, I guess I should decide what's for birthday vs. Christmas and wrap, huh?
We had a fun party last night. 13 adults, 1 school kid, 8 2yr olds, and 2 babies. It was crowded but the kids all behaved really well. The one child free couple kind of hid in our TV room with my also child free sister. I kind of dumped the baby on dh most of the night and spent a lot of time down there too, drinking cranberry wine. Yum.
I wish sharing nude children pics wasn't a bad idea because I have a picture of ds1 standing on his step stool at the counter in the buff while my sister and I chopped veggies. I want to share the hilarity with the world, but will limit myself to family and eventually his wife, hehe
It's a Christmas week miracle! After DD woke up puking at 5:30 am Saturday and withered away on the sofa all day, she went to bed at 9:30 last night and is still sleeping at 8:00 am. Willis Jackson, I wish you this kind of recovery for tomorrow!
It's my morning to be up with DD. At least she slept until 6:10 and I got the kitchen clean while she ate breakfast.
Our church does candlelight services the Sunday night before Christmas, and I am playing plus accompanying the soloist and choirs. I have to be there at 2:45 to meet with the organist, then there is church at 5:00 and 7:30. At least there's dinner in between? 2:30 - 9:00 p.m. is a loooooooong stretch. I should get paid for this, LOL. (And I am glad it's not on Christmas Eve, because I would not be as interested in volunteering 2:30 - 9:00 on Christmas Eve!)

I've been sick and an exhausted. My h has random joint pains and last night his foot started hurting so bad that he can't walk at all right now. It's so weird. He had testing done a year ago when it was his elbows bothering him the most and now it's worse.
DD is not going to nursery this morning. The count is now up to 6 friends on facebook who go to our church who either have influenza themselves or have a kid who's tested positive. I kind of want to stay home until Christmas, yuck yuck yuck.
Going out for a Dunin Donuts run. Salted caramel hot chocolate!
Then I need to clean my room so I can feel better about life in general and work up the courage to go for an actual run and lose the DD weight. DD as in the baby, not Dunkin. Like I can see the gym for the complex from my window as I type this and I have been there exactly twice and we've been living here for over a year now.
DD is still asleep. I cried over having to leave Disney this morning. She's having so much fun here. I'm becoming a crazy Disney person. We have a few more things to do in the park today, and then we're starting for home.
I'm dreading the 2.5 days of driving ahead of us. Ugh.

Yeah we've got a flu outbreak in Georgia too. I'm scared.
Not weird at all Willis Jackson. I like to be up late at night sometimes if the baby is quiet and calm. Outside would be even better.
I had a horrific night. I don't remember actually sleeping more than maybe an hour. I feel so exhausted my body aches.
Today is cookie baking and decorating day though. I'm so excited for J to decorate cookies and so glad I found an egg, dairy, nut free recipe we all enjoy. It's important to me that we enjoy foods and treats at the holidays that he can enjoy too.
i have also modified my family's christmas cake recipe so that he can have it too. Of all days I don't want to be telling him "no it will make you sick". Im extra excited for the cake this year because it is normally topped with cool whip and yesterday at WF I found that So Delicious brand makes a coconut cool whip. Now he won't be eating the cake plain!

Will you share the recipe? A is allergic to eggs and the allergist told us to stay away from nuts too.
Thanks. It hurts a lot and then it goes away. I'm sure that's going to last a while.
Vet school maybe. I had planned on my husband's income while going, but now I don't think I can single parent while going to vet school. I'm still going to interview though.
Rough night here too. I think there were 10 wakeups between my kids. 9 of them were to "straight the covers and tuck me in" for dd1. She is sick, so I'm hoping that's the root of it. I did sit and stare at her face at 4am, so I understand the feeling Dd2 woke at 3 screaming bloody murder. I think she had her first nightmare.
Sorry for all the rough nights too. I'm on day 7 of a cold that is rapidly migrating to my chest and in a coughing fit last night I seem to have pulled a muscle surrounding my ribs. So that's exciting. I am praying that these girls don't decide to make an appearance until the cough is done.
