It's definitely NOT Christmas in the Bayou. While the scenery is great and I love any vehicle for the talents of Ed Asner, it's set in small town Louisiana and neither the "old southern" mother of the main character (an NYC resident now) nor the main character herself have even the faintest trace of a southern accent. I know that it's been a looooooong time since Markie Post was busy, so, geez, lady at least try to sound like you've VISITED Louisiana. You don't have to drawl every word spoken, but a "y'all" shouldn't sound vaguely British.
Ed Asner only has an accent sometimes. Also annoying.

My favorite movies are Shawshank Redemption, Goodwill Hunting, Goodfellas, Usual Suspects, Almost Famous.
Out of those, the only one that would be in the running for best movie ever made would be Goodfellas...but I know it's only in the running and wouldn't be #1.
