The joys of not celebrating Christmas.

I just an hour last night on the phone with tech support trying to get a Hanukkah gift that Tyler got to work.  My parents have him his own tablet- the Nabi jr.  He was so excited about his own "iPad". I picked this tablet because you can download the amazon App Store and I can install PBS kids and other apps like that for him.

Well apparently amazon shipped a whole bunch of new models of the tablet before the official release date.  The software update for these new models is not ready yet, so I can't install new apps.  Tech support assured me that they are trying to have the update ready by the time people open them for Christmas...great.  Except that my toddler opened his on the 5th night of Hanukkah and would like to play with it now.  So it went back into the box until the update is ready.  Grr.

I have to say, the guy working with me on the issue was really great and understanding, and there was nothing he could do, even though he tried. I really hope the update is available by Tuesday night so he can still get it for Hanukkah.

Yeah, but he kept asking for PBS kids, which he watches on our iPads. I feel like he won't be interested in the others unless it seems more iPad like.

Oh okay that makes sense. We have one. d loves the games were you touch and drag pieces of a picture into the right spot- there's a number, letter, amimal and tangram one

Oh and under meegenius she likes the books to be read to her.
