If I were staying home 7 fishes would be at my house...it is my favorite holdiday (xmas eve) it was very special for my mom and me. We would do all the cooking together. My Il's have tried to incorporate some of that tradition in for me but it just isn't the same without the bog Italian family@

We would usually cook a turkey, but it's just going to be SIL, H and I this year, and my SIL hates turkey. So, prime rib it is!

We went between lasagna (usually what we have) or steak on the grill.

We had lasagna for my birthday and will have steak for Christmas. Our big holiday is Christmas Eve, so that's when it will happen.

This year there will be a Christmas Eve with immediate family, Christmas Day with my mom's side, and a HUGE belated Christmas potluck on Saturday with my dad's side. At least 25 people coming from everywhere.

Christmas Eve is our once-a-year lasagna, Christmas morning will be a french toast casserole I made a couple years ago, and Christmas dinner is still TBD.

This year's options are duck, osso buco, and prime rib, unless my parents see something better when they're at the grocery store. We usually do goose, but have been mixing it up in recent years.

I'm pleasantly surprised to see so many lasagnas! This is tradition in our family too, though I cannot replicate my mom's so I'm making sausage and gnocchi on Christmas Eve.

Christmas dinner will be prime rib, rosemary roasted potatoes, Brussels sprouts hash, corn pudding, and pecan pie.

bowies two of the guys I'm talking to are also having lasagna for Christmas Eve. One of them is making it.

I'm glad my mother and I make ours together. I'm really good at the bolognese but not as good at the beschamel. She doesn't like to make the bolognese because of how long it takes. Balance!

I have a homemade cannelloni recipe that I've been trying to find an excuse to use. It uses a beschamel as it's base and looks pretty idiot proof.

Christmas: Standing rib roast, burgundy mushrooms, Grandma Nugget's mac 'n cheese, radicchio/cucumber dill salad, and sauteed brussel sprouts.
