It all started with me trying to take the pup to daycare and go to a friends house so she could do my hair. I realized that I had a flat tire, so I woke DH up and he had to drive me around.
My dad flew in at 10:30 am Saturday morning for a 1pm wedding.
Because the weather was so bad where he was he couldn't fly out. We thought it was because of the weather but it was actually because the pilot that was supposed to fly in and get them wasn't experienced enough.
I guess one of that pilots friends, another pilot, was a fighter pilot in the Canadian military and he is a very well known pilot. I guess he wasn't doing anything and he heard my dads story so he offered to go and fly my dad out of there.
Instead of just flying my dad to the airport so he could take an air canada flight, they decided to continue the chartered flight and take him all the way home. That way he didn't have to depend on the flights to make it home on time.
The ceremony was 45 minutes late because the lady that was marrying them was late. There was a car accident on the only bridge that was between her house and the ceremony site. But once she got there everything was perfect and the ceremony was beautiful. My brother cried, which made me cry.
The reception was also beautiful and a lot of fun.
When we were cleaning up after the reception the bride and groom were saying their last good byes and leaving my brother realized that his over night bag was gone. (With the wedding gift his wife gave him and he cell phone.)
My (new) SIL stared freaking out, she was so upset about the sentimental things in that bag.
We realized that because her cell phone was in there and it was an iPhone we could track it. I downloaded the find my phone app and she logged into her apple account and we watched her phone drive further and further away from the ceremony.
After a while it stopped and I showed my brother where it was. He knew whose house it was at. (Yay!) So DH, my brother, SIL, my little sister and I went there together.
We got there and my brother went up to the door to get the bag and no one answered so he thought she was just passed out drunk, she left very intoxicated, and not answering. (She got a ride home from someone else.) my brother tried the door and it was unlocked but no one was there.
It turns out there was a second house on the property and we realized this just before we left the property. We went up to that house and the bag was there. So it was a successful adventure.
(It turns out that the bag was my SILs high school basketball teams bag, it was a custom made bag, and this girl was on the same team. In her drunken stuper she saw the bag and thought she brought hers because it's so rare of a bag.)
