I have a garmin 15 with HRM (which I wear with a watch to track hr), and polar HRM strap only (so I can only use it with compatible bikes/machines at the gym)
I get a hr that is about 10 beats higher on the Polar--a typical spin class registers a hr between 165 with a 180 max on the Garmin, and 175 with a 188-90 max with the polar.
This is annoying. I have to work so much harder to get my hr up with the garmin; conversely, I find myself slacking when I wear the polar.
I have no idea, that is weird. I only have my Garmin and the hand grippy things on my TM to compare, and those seem to match up almost exactly when I happen to put my hands on the things to compare them.
